Today is the eight-week birthday for Zeus and Athena, the two foster(?) kittens my neighbor is taking care of. I haven't posted any pics for a while, so I thought I would update everyone. They're still running around and playing like little fiends. They both have had runny stools for a few days, so we've switched them back to 100% formula for a bit to see if the kitten food is just too much for them to digest right now. Our vet recommended we feed them some Hill's W/D for a while to see if the extra fiber will help out, so I'm going to pick some of that up tomorrow. Other than that, they're doing great. The apartment is filled with constant cuteness.

Athena

Playing with a bug

Playing with the big cats. She's very brave.

Zeus

Drinking from the big guys' water bowl

Zeus and Athena lapping up some formula. You can really see the spotted/swirls coat pattern on Athena's side in the first pic.

Wrestling

Checking out the roof

They are so, so, SO cute! I keep checking this forum to see if you've posted more. I've enjoyed watching them grow up - I'll be so sad if they get adopted out and we can't have anymore pictures! I'm starting a petition for you to sign the new owners up on TCS!!

Adorable kittens!1 What surprises me is that the older cats are tolerating them. =D It makes me feel confident of getting a kitten now for Misa..

Yes, classic kitten. They have to do everything the big cats do. What's really funny is that Zeus tends to mimic Buddy (the black tabby) and Athena tends to mimic Oscar (the yellow tabby) so it's like the both have little mini-mes following them around.

As for getting the adopters on TCS, we'll have to see. Maybe we can get capt_jordi to adopt them since she just lives right down the road. Then pictures would be guaranteed.

Yeah, I think it helps a lot that there are two of them. Normally with one kitten, it will pester the adult cats when it's bored. With two, if the older cats are ignoring them, they just go find the other kitten and play.

Of Susan's cats, Buddy took to them immediately and has been very paternal, which was quite a surprise. Oscar growled when they came near and hid in the bathroom for the first couple of weeks, but now he wants to play. He still hasn't figured out just how small they are, so he can be a little rough sometimes. Leah is funny because she will walk right up to a kitten, sniff him for a bit, maybe even groom him, and then start growling and run away. I think it's just a big show. Susan has a 4th cat, Pinky, who is indoor/outdoor. She's on strike because of the kittens and she's decided to become completely outdoor. She's very territorial and apparently having kittens running around in her kingdom was just too much for her.
