An extremely sweet little kitty was dropped off at the barn where we board.

Very thin, with what looks like a URI. So friendly she (he) tried to climb up DH leg.

I am taking the kitty to my vet tomorrow. The kitty is going to get the quick acting and long acting anti bio and anti inflam. Some of us there chip in on the care of the cats. So, hopefully, they will go in with me. If not, oh well. I can't stand to see the sweet little thing sniffling so.

I know the kitty needs more, and I will do as much as I can. I just told my vet "look, I have this much to spend...what can you do for her". I could put part on my care credit too. Ugh, just when I almost get it paid off, something happens!!

Keep her in your thoughts. She is an awful sweetie. She was making biscuits as she ate today. She isn't hungry as there are other cats there and there is food available.

Thanks guys!

Absolutely, she will be in my thoughts....And what a sweetheart, she is making biscuits as she is eating. Who dropped her at the barn?

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
Awwww.....
to you for doing what you can for her.
You'll get her spayed? Hopefully there's a low-cost place near you!

for the little sweetheart!

She just appeared. It is a rural area and it's easy to drop animals, unseen.

We think it's a male, but it is so thin it is hard to tell. Very young. If it's ok with the barn owner, I would like to eventually get it adopted. The SPCA here is a no kill shelter. They have not euthanized an adoptable cat in a couple years now. They participate in Maddys Fund. They have come a long ways from the old days when just the thought of the SPCA brought chills.

My fave rescue is not accepting kitties now. It seems EVERY TIME I need them, they aren't accepting. UGH!

Of course, spay or neuter is next on the list. There are only 2 other cats at the barn and no kittens. One is 15 and the other is one of the boarders cats who just was not happy as an inside kitty. Pretty sure both are spayed or neutered. Will find out tho.

Thanks for the good thoughts!

Vet visit went well....all 2 hours of it. I was late getting Goofy his insulin and was cleaning Al's stall at 8 last night!!

But, anyway, the kitty is a male. All 4.4lbs of him.
Just the kindest cat! Was doing the biscuit thing even as they drew blood for the combo test. Will know results tomorrow. Has wicked URI and an abcess in his nose. And dehydrated. they gave him two fast acting anti bios and and inflam. Dewormer. Take home amoxy and nose and eye drops.

Well this am, the third eyelid is completly gone. He walked out of his carrier that I put in the crate and began eating. He wouldn't touch food last night. Had to spoon milk into him. This am he just dove in.

He is out in the garage workshop. So I put him on the workbench and gave him his meds and he is so easy to medicate. Just a little dream. After being so sick and abandoned, to still love humans.....well he is a special little boy. Stupid me, I forgot to get an age. But I estimate about 6 months old.

Thanks for all the good wishes. Pics coming.
