My little orphan is 5 weeks old today by our guess. I have had her since she was 1 and a half weeks old. We have finally agreed on a name, chosen by my 4 year old. Her name is Molly. As long as she is a she lol.
It is fun to watch her grow into a real kitten. She uses her litterbox independantly and has for a week. She has started trying to groom herself. And watching her start to play is adorable. She thinks she is a big cat and that she can jump lol...and she is not afraid to try.
The only thing I have a problem with is that she still doesn't seem to be interested in her kitten mush food unless I shove it in her mouth. She still drinks her milk from a medicine dropper (syringe type).
I am going to make her a vet appointment next week...to confirm that she is indeed a Molly (lol) and to see about getting her first shots and worming. It is hard to believe that I got my Jack cat when he was between 5 and 6 weeks old, it doesn't seem like he was this small. Raven was 9 weeks old when I got her...and she is a well adjusted cats cat. I just hope that the 2 of them can accept this little one into their lives and home.
So I still need help on getting her to eat food...and tips on how to encourage her and my 2 other cats (who are both almost 3) to make friends or at least tolerate each other.
