help....a live baby bird

Minnie, my little tortie, came in the house this morning with a live baby bird. i thought for sure it wasn't going to make it but it is very much alive now. i'm pretty sure it's a black Phoebe, because there's a nest under the eaves of the neighbor's house, and it fell out of the nest. it has feathers and at that stage when they start fluttering their wings. it had a couple pieces of hard-boiled egg mixed with water. i got it in a little basket with window screen around it. now what? how often and what should i feed it?
oh and it has pooped twice

We just went through something similar with a bluejay. We were told to put it up in a tree as near to the nest as possible and the parents would continue to care for it. So we did and the mom and dad did find the baby and are continuing his care until he can fully fly.

I agree with Jennifer. Birds sometimes leave the nest far earlier than it seems like they should, but they will develop quickly and soon be on their own.
