Good morning folks.

How many of you swim?
How many of you have swam in a lake?
How about in the ocean?

How many of you swim?
I can dog paddle but I'm afraid of water. A couple years ago I managed to overcome the fear and took some aqua fit classes. But water being splashed on my face sends me into a panic.

A few times as a kid before my drowning incident. I stopped when I got out of the water and had some leeches on me.

How about in the ocean?
I've never seen the ocean outside of pictures. But I know I'd be too afraid to even put my toes into the water for fear of something biting me.

I can swim fairly well. Yes to all of the above.

It wasn't until we built our pool that DH really learned how to swim and even now he's not great at it, but he does a pretty good dog paddle. When we were building the pool, he walked down to the hole where the "deep" end would be (at 8 feet). I took a picture because he said it would be the only time he'd probably ever get to the deep end.
He does go into the deep end, but he doesn't spend a lot of time there.

I love to swim, and prefer lakes, rivers, & oceans to pools. (Though I love to swim so much that I will swim anywhere, at the slightest provocation lol!) There's a lake we go to as a family for most major summer holidays & occasions. I really enjoy it!

I did swim years ago but haven't been doing so for years. I have swam in a lake and in the Atlantic ocean. I loved being in the ocean because of the waves, I loved diving into them. I don't stay on the beach anymore because I can't stay in the sun too long. But when I did, I loved it. When I was a kid my lips would turn blue cuz I stayed in the water too long, my mom had to drag me out
Good memories.

You have to be able to swim in my family. My aunt was a lifeguard and 3 of my cousins are lifeguards. We're all strong swimmers. I've swam in many lakes as well as the pacific and atlantic oceans.

Yes, yes & yes!

I am not the fastest swimmer, but I have been able to swim for as long as I remember, and I was on swim team in the 7th grade. As I got older, swimming in lakes got more and more questionable... if I can't see my feet I don't want to be swimming in it!! LOL. As far as the ocean, I like to be on the beach and I love to wade in the ocean, but accidental ingestion of salt water is one of the worst things ever.

I am fascinated by large bodies of water, probably because I am a Denver native so I never really got to be around natural water a lot.
