My cat died

Thread Starter
He died last week age 5. He was fine but during the afternoon I noticed him breathing quickly and with the whole body. I thought I would take him to the vet if he had not improved by morning but when I came down he was lying dead in the garden. He had flea treatment every 6 weeks, worming tablets every 3 months and all annual injections.
Now wish I`d called the emergency vet. I wonder what killed him so quickly.

I am very sorry for your loss. There is no way to know without a necropsy what happened to your cat. May your memories be sweet.

I am very sorry for your sweet kitty. This did happen to one of my cats early last summer and he was only four years old. It was heart failure. The rapid breathing/panting is a sign of this. There wouldn't have been anything you really could have done so don't blame yourself at all. How could you have known...... I am just sorry for you and your kitty...RIP little one.
