Thought you might to see some pictures of our little Tabby girl. I took them with my cell phone, so sometimes they're not real sharp.

Flopped in her bed in the cage in the computer room....

Let sleeping Tabby lie! (We've had that green pillow now for years. It was Amber's favorite nap spot when she was a kitten. Then Mollipop and now Tabitha. That pillow has certainly got its use.)

And another nap position....

I'm awake now! And ready to play!

Playing with kitty toys....We have to get a new center for the turbo b/c Whisper puked on the old one and we had to trash it.
Behind some of the toys is their kitty couch with the cover. All of the cats use the couch at some time or other. It's really favored during the winter when we have a heavy Christmas kitty throw covering the couch. Must be nice and comfy because they all like it.

Tabitha spent the weekend out of the computer room, exploring the house. She went everywhere, except for the bedroom (we felt the other cats needed a safe haven, so to speak). I put her back in her cage at night to give her some quiet time. She's in the computer room now, since I'm at work.

She made it to the couch! What a big couch for such a little Tabby...

A close-up so you can see her. See how her head is cocked? That's because of the ear mites infestation. We're treating her ears as well as the ears of all the other cats, too. Oh, and she is not completely deaf....DH texted me yesterday and Tabby was sleeping on my lap. When my phone went "Droid!", she jumped and started looking for the noise. (She's also very intrigued when I play Angry Birds....yesterday I was on the floor and she was sitting right in front of my phone, watching the birds fly and the pigs disappear. So she can hear.)

So there's our youngest RugCat! And she's a sweetie!

Thanks for looking!

She is sooooooo adorable

We had gotten a calico girl a few years ago, we named her Kipper and she was FULL of earmites. We thought she was deaf as well but as the mites went away her eharing improved, once they were 100% gone, she had normal hearing again.

They are not amused. Not in the slightest. Tabby walked over to Whisper, bent her head, and Whisper started to bathe her. (Whisper will be a wonderful mother until the day she goes to the Bridge....she's the absolute sweetest kitty to everybody, including us. According to her, we all need a good bath!) Bootser keens every time Tabby walks into the same room. BooBoo hisses and snorts at her. And then runs in the other direction. Ms. Pepe hisses. For the most part, though, she's ignored.

Amber is very intrigued and I think she'd play with her, but Tabby is just so new. I think they'll be buddies, though.

Mollipop is not doing well. She's very upset and I've been feeding her on the kitchen table. She didn't sleep with me for several nights (even though Tabby has been in the computer room at night), but on Saturday, she finally came back to bed. And last night, she stayed with me almost all night, sleeping not in my arms, but very close by. I keep telling her that she is the Diva and will always be the Diva. And that I love her so much. Lots of hugs and kisses. I think she'll come around, as long as I don't pay too much attention to Tabitha in front of her. I hope so.

It's interesting around here. Thanks!

OMG, she is just so cute!!! I hope her ear mites clear up soon, even though that cocked head is so precious. Hopefully it won't be long before Mollipop figures out that she's not being replaced.

She's so darling!
Glad to hear that she's getting treatment for the ears and hope she has a fast recovery.

Thanks! She really is an adorable little baby! I love those big eyes of hers.

And we seem to be winning the ear mites war....at least I hope so. This morning when I picked her up to check her ears, the right one (which is the worst) seemed to be crusting again. But this time, the crust seemed to be a bit scabby, like the ear is starting to heal. DH and I cleaned her ears out as best we could with the OptiClens (and we didn't get a lot of gunky stuff), then placed a drop of Otomite Plus in each ear. While she's still cocking her head and probably will for quite a while, when she's playing, she does move her head more often than she did.

I called the vet to tell them that we had cleaned her ears this morning instead of waiting until Thursday night (which is when her week was up) and why we cleaned them. They said that was OK.

And she's doing well with the other cats, except for Mollipop. She and Amber were racing around the house last night for awhile. Mollipop is starting to come around, but I don't think they'll ever be real friendly.....it may be more of a "I will tolerate you, but honey, you'd better not get to close! And you'd better stay away from my mom, too!" thing. At least, I'm able to feed Mollipop on the kitchen floor again instead of the table.
And Mollipop is sleeping with me again now. I really missed her while she was having her pout.
