Sudden change in behavior

My two altered indoor only male cats have suddenly started camping out in the kitchen and won't spend any time anywhere in the house. It seems to have started about two weeks ago when it got really hot and humid in my town. It has since cooled down.

This morning I noticed that they have fleas, something that they have not experienced since I brought them home as kittens.

I've taken them to other rooms for petting and they run straight back to the kitchen as soon as I stop.

They will leave to use the box.

This is really weird. What is up? Is it something I should be worried about?

They're probably on "hunting" mode. Better check behind appliances and inside cabinets for unexpected and "live" surprises.

For a week? They are just lying around.

I also just realized that they seemed to be gradually camping out closer and closer to the kitchen day by day. I assumed it was the heat (The kitchen is the only non rugged floor in the place).

The cool floor could be the reason. Cats can take the heat pretty well, but some do prefer a cool surface to lounge on.

Also, go to your vet and get some flea treatment. Fleas can make some cats behave very oddly. I know from experience.
