Monet here is being pretty vocal about Picasso's scent on me. He's OK when he doesn't smell Picasso on me, but when he does, he clearly tells me he doesn't like it!

Aww, yeah I think thats pretty normal though. Gotta get used to the idea that the other kitty is a friend and not a foe.

I hope they'll become good friends like Wesley and Buttercup!

aww my kittie sare the same, the can't stand the scent or the prescence of a kitten, I can't get any more kittens for that reason.

By the way, Monet is goorrgeous! I really want to have a black and white kitten, which is impossible for now, but someday...

What's Monet's very favorite treat in all the world? I think I'd lay a supply in and every time I have the kitten's scent on me (or the kitten around), pass out a treat.

But my Dharma was not pleased when I brought my boy home (and she'd only had the run of the condo for three months)...it took a couple of weeks, but they did start grooming each other, etc. They still only sleep together very rarely, but we hardly ever have any hissy spats.

Monet is gorgeous!

If I gave Monet any more treats, he'd be fat like me, lol. It will certainly take time, but he's not attacking anyone (well, when he lunged in the video, thats occasional and he always stopped short of biting)

thanks for the encouragement and compliments all

That's what I worry about when I am able to get a second cat. Holland has been an only child for nearly 3 years now, and I have no idea how she'll deal with a new cat. She certainly didn't like Monet's growling in the video, she came over and started pawing at the speaker on my computer!

He's so handsome and certainly not afraid to tell you what he thinks! It's still so early though, I'm sure he'll get over his hurt feelings before long.

Oh, Mr. Monet, you're being just a bit dramatic now, don't you think?

I second the treats. Let him overindulge for a bit, if it might help him associate Picasso's scent with yummy treats. Good luck!!
