Hummingbird

A while ago we were talking about hummingbirds. I couldn't remember the name of that thread but I wanted to share this picture I captured last year in my neighbor's garden.

I believe you may be referring to my thread, "My Mom sent me a hummingbird", from a few weeks ago. Also, at the same time, someone posted that their cat had gotten 2 (?) hummingbirds, but the birds are fine.

We now have possibly THREE hummies--and I think #3 could be a male! He flew off so fast, I didn't get a good look--but I swore I saw a red spot on the throat, as a juvenile male may have. We definitely do have 2 females, Joya & Emerald.

The bee balm is blooming again this year but I haven't seen any of my fluttering friends yet!
