We're heading to New River beach today with many members of my family to enjoy the sand sculpture competition!

Do you have many beaches around you? Do you enjoy going to the beach?

Hope you have alot of fun!!

We have one beach here in Campbellton but we don't go to it. All the welfare skanks hang out there.

Craig's Aunt and Uncle from Fredericton rent a cottage in Bathurst every year for 2 weeks, they get their own private beach with it, so we go there, LOVE it!

Here in NJ we have many beaches and one is where Russell has his summer home. We go there quite often for a few days during the summer and I love it. I don't lay on the beach tho because I can't take the sun but I love walking on the broad walk where you can eat all kinds of good stuff and there are lots of games to play. Also the clubs there are really nice and comfortable. I love watching the ocean and it is always a bit cooler at the shore. We just got back late this week, we had spent a few days there. We'll be going back very soon. It really is a nice get-a-way and it's less than an hour away. Have fun today Kailie.

Over the river and through the woods...
The closest ocean beach is 6 hrs away, although we do have many man-made lakes around here with sand poured around them. Definitely not the same thing! I'm not a big fan of going to the beach just for the sake of going to the beach. Vacation is one thing because there is so much to do, but when I lived in Guam I "went to the beach" maybe 3 times, and that was just because there was food and alcoholic beverages involved!
Overall, I'm not a big fan of sand.

[font=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]LOVE going to the beach .... just 4 hours away from the sandy white beaches of the gulf.... I use to go to the beach 4 or 5+ times a year, many times just a spontaneous beach trip, but not anymore with the kitties.... I wish they liked to travel : ( I miss the beach so much.

I hope you have a great time with your family, it sounds fun![font=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]

Living in central PA, there are no ocean beaches close to us. When we do want to hit the beach, we prefer to go to Virginia to the shore...they're really clean and very nice.

Yes, have a couple in Chicago off of Lake Michigan, North street and Oak street. But have only been a few times. Not my kind of beach, that's for sure.......

Beaches all around the city of Vancouver, the nearest about 15 minutes drive. I've never been one for lying on the beach, but some of them are nice for walking.
