Good morning

I just got back from a family reunion in BC. We rented 2 houseboats and spent 4 days on Shuswap Lake. It was awesome. I spent a lot of time in the sun, hoping for a nice tan, but unfortunately, I got a bit of a sunburn.

Do you tan? Naturally (laying in the sun) or unnaturally (tanning salons, spray tans, etc.)?

I tend to tan in the summer just naturally, although I always wear sunblock and just tan slowly.

I use to lay in the sun to tan, but that was back when I worked at night....now I never have the time to even think about it!

Over the river and through the woods...
The only way I tan is if I get one heck of a burn first. Otherwise, I'm white, or my freckles all merge together to give the illusion of a tan. I used to do tanning beds (when I was young and stupid) and my skin shows the damage now. I don't really do anything to "get" sun now, but if I do get some color in moderation I don't mind. I do use the sunless tanning cream on my legs in the summertime though...otherwise people would be blinded when I wear shorts.

I am very fair, and have never enjoyed lying in the sun -- I overheat too easily and burn fast.

I can tan and quickly. But I've finally learned to stay indoors. The only time I'm really out and about now is if I'm working on the garden (with lots of sunscreen) or I'm in the pool.

No, not anymore!!! I used to like to lay in the sun and never really protected my skin well enough
. If I do go out swimming or walking I pour on the sunscreen! I used to be out all day in the sun with the horses in the summer so I always wore a hat!!
