Tonight as my husband and I were going out to dinner I noticed 3 cats by the garbage bin in my community. I stopped the car to look at them and noted there were two males and a young black female cat. Immediately i feared that either she was preg or will be soon if i didn't do something...the entire time we were at dinner all i kept thinking about was the cats. When we got back home i decided to go outside and try to find them to at least give them food as they were going through the garbage clearly hungry. As soon as i put some food on the floor the black female cat ran to me. I couldn't help it but pick her up and bring her inside my house. My husband looked at me like i was crazy but I just cannot leave her out there knowing those two male cats were following her around! I surely don't want to see kittens out in the parking lot. She looks pretty young, definitely less than a year old. She is skinny. I noticed her nipples were a bit enlarged but not pink. She is very loving and keeps throwing herself on the floor, rubbing against us etc. I plan to call my vet tomorrow and make an appointment for testing and to get spayed. I have her in my spare room since i have 4 other kitties. I dont want them to have any interaction until i know that she is clean. The problem is i adopted a new female kitten today. Although she is not in my house yet since the rescue that has her plans on taking her to the vet to do all the testing etc before i can bring her home. I only hope my cats can accept two new cats. My current cats are all males and have accepted each other so i figure why not the females. I hope they can all get along. I would really hate to let the black female cat back outside.

If she's been on her own for a while, she may be happier going back outside (after she's been spayed and vaccinated, of course!). But if she will be happy being a housecat, I'm sure your boys will accept her. Almost all males will accept a pretty young girl
. And kittens are usually accepting as well. The biggest worry, I think, will be how this kitty feels about the boys and the kitten.

She meowed pretty much all last night. I ended up locking her inside the bathroom which is in the room she is using for now. I made an appointment to have her tested and spayed for Tuesday. I told my mom about her and she said she would like to keep her in their house as a companion to my dad's cat which looks exactly like her. Of course this will all be if she is not sick etc. Glad my parents decided to give her a try because I think my house is pretty full for now. Thanks for your input Willowy!

Good for you stepping up and taking this cat in!!! You have saved many kittens being born into a world of uncertainty and suffering in the wild. I love to hear these wonderful rescues. I am also glad that your parents will take her and she sounds like a real sweetie
. Many vibes for Tuesday that all of her tests come back negative
. She has a new lease on life. Don't mind her meows and complaining. This will pass. She is just SO happy
to have found you, that she had to talk about it all night long
. Good luck with her

And congratz on your new kitten!!! Keep us posted

She has settled in perfectly. No more meowing. She just hangs out and plays with the toys i gave her! She is such a sweetie! I let her see my 4 cats and she did not even hiss or freak, instead she wanted to play with them under the door crack. I put shirts in front to block them from playing just in case. At least I know she will get along fine with my parents cat. All i hope is that her tests are negative. She looks like a cat someone may have left behind. She is just way to friendly and affectionate.

This is the stray I took in - Kina, named by my mom

And this is my new kitty - Tabitha, who will come home this Saturday if all her tests are negative and once she has recovered since she will be spayed tomorrow.

Wow! What a black beauty
. It warms my heart
thinking of how you saved her. She certainly is one lucky kitty to have had you drive by that garbage bin
. More vibes for her vet day

And, I love the name Tabitha!!! Now, she is a gorgeous cat with big beautiful eyes! You must be very excited.
that her tests are negative too!!
