So today's the day for the final space shuttle launch, weather permitting. http://www.nasa.gov/home/index.html
May God bless the astronauts and keep them safe.
I ran outside to see the lift off. My work is about 30 miles from the launch pad. It was cloudy, but I saw the brightness of the rocket jetting up into space. I will miss the shuttle program.
I hope we'll be able to begin deep space exploration soon... it brings out such good things in us humans. My folks let me stay up and watch TV the night we first walked on the moon, and I would love to see us land on Mars in my lifetime!
