Just wanted to update everyone on my little foster girls, Quinn and Cherise, who went back to the rescue before we left on a family vacation. Both kittens went up for adoption late last week at Petsmart and Quinn went to a wonderful new home a couple of days ago.
We would have preferred to keep the girls together, but they're actually pretty independent of each other, so it's a big deal. That leaves pretty little Cherise looking for a home, but we expect with her beautiful patched tabby markings and sweet personality that she'll go quickly.

Looks like I'll have a couple of new foster babies by the weekend - a couple of 8-week-old feral kittens who need socializing. No idea on color or sex yet. Can't wait to meet them!

Great to hear for Quinn! That's great what your doing fostering these cats. Without you god only knows what could happen to them.

Thanks, guys.
I visited Cherise at Petsmart yesterday and she seems fine. Several of our volunteers will be there tomorrow to promote adoptions, so hoping she gets some attention then.

Still not sure who I'll be getting next, but am assuming it'll be tomorrow when I'm at the rescue anyway for shift. The director actually contacted me on Wed. to ask about fostering a sweet, young orange guy who tested positive for FeLV, but the local no-kill rescue that takes leukemia cats had space for him right away.

The new foster kittens are here!!!
Didn't get the two I originally thought, though. Their current foster mom, who had some reservations about socializing feral kittens, decided to stick with it. My new little ones were trapped in a feral colony but, after a little time in the home of one of our vet techs, are coming around pretty well.

I usually only foster two kittens at a time, but agreed to three since the little female, Deedle, is still very shy and seems pretty dependent on her brother, Cubby and Capers. Deedle and Capers are gray tabby and Cubby is tabby with white. He's definitely the most outgoing of the three.

Posted one pic of the three of them on FB. Will work on more to post on TCS in the next couple of days.

Just saw the pictures, and fell in love with Cubby
. You must be loving their company in your home right now. Little kittens bring such joy into a home
. They look so happy and healthy

Cubby's a little lover boy for sure.
His litter mates are a little more shy, but equally endearing and making progress already.

Just wanted to let everyone know that Cherise was adopted yesterday.
She'll be the first cat for a wonderful young couple who are very taken with their new little girl.
