Reconditioned Litter Robot

I know that I want the Litter Robot but I'm trying to see if the reconditioned units are worthwhile or if I should just pay the $60 more and get a new unit. For those who took a chance with the reconditioned units, do they work fine? Do you recommend them?

IIRC, the company has a 100% satisfaction guarantee policy where they will accept returns for any reason up to 30 days.

So I would wager most of these reconditioned units are not refurbs due to mechanical defects, but simply used returns that had to be disassembled, washed, and reassembled for sanitary resale.

Ah in that case, it'll be a no brainer for me. My cat isn't picky so even if the unit somehow has the scent of a cat already he wont care.
