I've had Parker eating high quality food since late last year. He is not really picky eater. However, I can't get Buddy to eat anything that costs more than a dollar a can.
I went out and bought 4 or 5 different brands/textures/flavors of high quality food and he turned his nose up at all of them and actually went without eating for the whole day each time I tried. If I put the cheap stuff out, he gobbles it right up.
This is a problem because the cheap stuff makes his poo really stinky. I noticed since feeding Parker good food, his poo doesn't even have an odor anymore. Also, I just want him to eat better for all the other obvious reasons.
Should I just keep offering it to him until he gets hungry enough to eat? Or is there some other way I can entice him to eat better? The little junk food addict..

have you tried the Soulistic Grain Free canned food from Petco?

I had the same issue with Monet until I tried Soulistic, by the advice of several here, and he LOVES it.

My only suggestion is that you add the new wet food to his current wet food slowly. In other words mix a small amount of the new food at first with his current food. Then slowly increase the amount of "healthy food" until he is only eating it. Note this could take days, weeks, or even months

I'm thinking months would be more likely. He will sniff out anything "different" in his food and walk away. He is so stubborn.

@Draco: I suppose it won't hurt to try it. Thanks!
