Sneezing, but no other symptoms

So about a week ago I noticed my cat was sneezing. I didn't think much of it, because he sneezed, then 30 seconds later my mom sneezed, then my brother, then me. I thought it was something in the air. But he has been sneezing for a week now. . .I would estimate I hear him at least 4 or 5 times a day. Is it serious or not? He doesn't have any other symptoms except his nose is wet. There is no mucous or anything, it's just wet. Other info. . .he is 14 years old and on liver and hyperthyroid meds. I don't want to take him to the vet over every little thing, but I don't know if it means something more serious.

Your cat could have a cold.
The symptoms are:
- nasal discharge
- sneezing
- coughing
- heavy breathing
- watery eyes

In simple cases a cold can run it's course and your cat will be fine after 1 week to 10 days. But, it is best to get a vets opinion. However, I realize that vets are overpriced and sometimes not even worth it, so I would suggest that you just keep an eye on your cat and if he seems to get sicker then call your vet.

Good luck to you and a get well soon to your kitty.
