Yuck, cold fries!

I had a Big Mac once that was half-cooked. When I brought it back, they insisted since I had taken a bite, I couldn't return it. I asked them to recook what was left, then, if they wouldn't give me one that was cooked!
The manager finally gave me a new (cooked) one. I never went back to that particular McD's.

Very often when I get McDonalds the fries are barely warm. I always ask for fresh fries because I can't stand them once they get cold. And they get all rubbery if you microwave them even slightly. I think McD's does that too... sometimes I get fries and they're hot but rubbery tough so I'm sure they just microwaved fries that had been sitting under a light for a while. YUCK!!

I do not eat at McDonald's, as I dislike fried burgers. Give me that flame-broiled double-bacon cheeseburger, from Burger King. Even so, I only eat about one a month.

I agree with you Cindy
.... I'll take a flame-broiled burger over a half cooked one anytime

I haven't eaten at McD's in ages. I prefer Wendy's burgers over all the others, it seems to be the most "real" meat. My true preference is for Burger King's Italian chicken sandwich, it is sooooo good!

I don't like McDonalds either - I prefer home made burgers cooked on the grill - had one for lunch today!

Cold fries. Blecchhh. See though, they're sneaky, pairing the Walmart and McD's together. Can't go by without thinking about getting fries. Don't eat any fast food usually, but will once in a blue moon get a Carl's western bacon cheeseburger with fried zucchini. Hmmm. I'm hungry now.

That is a major pet peeve of mine, McDonald's cold fries. On top of that, Krispy Kreme cold donuts, that is after we get there late and they turned off the heat lamp, now I just wait till the next day to get them fresh. I'm not much of burger unless I make my own, but during my pregnancy, I craved the Big Mac big time and ate a lot of those. I can't stand Burger King, something about the falseness of 'flame-broiled' just rubs my tongue the wrong way. I reckon all my experiences have not been great with them anyway, we tried the italian chicken one and it was ickky, salty and luke warm.

I used to like Sonics, which I also ate a lot during my pregnancy. But everytime I would eat their burgers I swear I would always bite into a piece of bone that would make my jaw jittery so I stopped eating there. I guess I haven't really found a good burger per se but my own, yum, yum!! I eat them with potato buns, put some butter on the buns and lightly grill them!

i'm not a mcdonalds person, except for a breakfast burrito now and then, but my one friend, she'd goto mcdonalds and always ask for fries w/o salt (saying she had a condition) and then they'd have to make a fresh batch and she'd just add salt after she got them, lol.. But she'd carry salt packets in her purse so that was kinda weird, but it worked

I love the Italian Chicken from BK. They just don't have them all of the time. There's a 50s-style diner, down the street, that has a wonderful chicken Parmesan sandwich, though: boneless breaded breast of chicken, marinara sauce and Parmesan cheese on grilled sourdough bread. They serve it with thick, crispy skin-on fries. Yummy!

I must admit, I'm addicted to McDonalds Filet of Fish sandwich. They put loads and loads of tartar sauce on it, and I always get it with 2 tomatoes. Really tastey.

oh no--horror stories..

Ok this is bad, but purely an accident.. I used to work at a fast food place in college.. OK.. So one night, we had just gotten new timers for the food, they were these like battery operated things that had a magnet on the back so u could stick them on to the metal food prep area. Well, it fell and the batteries fell out, but we could only find one of 2. We figured it went under something because it fell on the floor and the other battery was on the floor when we found it. So we didn't really worry..

Well, we worked at a place where the food was prepared already and set on a steam table to keep warm. OK.. in one of our pans, in the food, bubbles kept coming up. We had no idea what was going on.. Then the area the bubbles were coming up, turned black. Well, we only had a half hour left to work, so we didn't use it anymore, but were completely freaked out about it. So anyhow, we bagged it up and stuck it in the freezer for the morning crew.

Well, the next morning, they were defrosting the prior nights food, and they found the completely flattened battery inside!! EWWWW!!!

The worst part is, one of our shift managers ate some of it the night before!!
