Well, first off Gloria turned out to be Oliver. His "package" appeared almost overnight!
But he's still a love bug and so are his sisters. All four will be going to a local no-kill shelter for adoption sometime next week. Keep your fingers crossed that they find loving homes. I'd keep them but we already have 6 plus

we're probably going to keep Raymond. He's also going to be called Clancey now, as his eye has turned green. He has all the colors of the Irish flag, so it fits. I am still a bit worried about him. He's still a little congested and has finished his antibiotics. We're taking him to the vet's again this weekend.

I am also worried because my friend mentioned that the animal that bit him might have had rabies. I will talk to the vet about that and what symptoms to look for. My friend said he'd get hyper but he's always hyper!

May I request some famous TCS vibes for him? Thanks!

I adore those tough little babies. And Clancey is a precious little love bug. I do hope more than anything that he makes it!!! What a terrible beginning in life he's had. Thanks for the update!!!

If he really thinks there is a risk for being bitten by a rabies sick animal, he should at once get the vaccin for it.

If the rabies shows, its too late. VERRY difficult to heal, possible only by massive treatment in a first class hospital.

The vaccines arent fun, they hurt too, but must be done. I presume nowadays he can get something against the pain.

The animal in question will be almost surely pts even at a vague suspection, and they will of course take tests from its body fluids.

Good vibes send!

that all the kittens get adopted quickly next week at the shelter

I am so darn happy
that you are keeping Clancey!! I like the new name!! He truly is a fighter and deserves a good life and I think he was meant for you
Please don't worry yourself about the rabies. Talk to the vet. Sometimes, our friends mean well but just get us concerned for no reason. Of course, we should be aware of these possibilities, but your vet would be the one to advise you. I think all will be just fine. More pictures
of Clancey
when you can

Adding. Waiting for the symptoms in the human is highly dangerous, as said.
But an animal who bites "because it has rabies" does has rabies, the rabies is open. And it is no question it is a sick animal. You see it. Salivia running, among other symptoms.
Thus. If you dont see anything peculiar - it is not rabies.

Of course, do ask your vet, so you will get it confirmed and can talk down your friend more easily.

Good luck!

Stefan:

He was too sick to get the shot when we went to the vet's the first time. That's why I'm a little concerned. He was completely unprotected.

He's doing fine, although he is a little stir crazy from being alone most of the time. Whenever I go in, he runs for cuddles but within five minutes, the "bad" kitty comes out. He loves to attack and gets way too rough way too fast. I have to hiss at him and occasionally scruff him. He learns pretty quickly and will beat up on his stuffed toys instead.

I think that's from being alone - he has no one to tussle with and teach him the rules. Hopefully, we'll be able to introduce him to our other kitties soon and he can learn how to play nicely.

Thanks for all the vibes. I will post pictures soon...

Picture 12 shows how well the abcess healed.

Picture 14 shows his eye socket - it's healed remarkably.

Picture 8 shows just what a difference a week and a course of antibiotics makes!

Goodness, is he ever the most precious kitty EVER
. My heart just warms when I see that little guy. I love the last picture of him jumping up to get the toy. Clancey is a very special boy, and you have been blessed
. And he has been blessed to have you too
What a little trooper to have endured such pain. His eye looks just amazing and is healing incredibly well, thanks to you
. He definitely tugs at my heartstrings
. Thanks for sharing the pictures
