Look all, I got the day of the week right!

Hope everyone is well this morning.

I'm in the office today and have an inbox full of issues which I am not even attempting to look at until I've finished my coffee.

Way to come back after a long weekend.

Right after work today we have to rush home and grab foster kitten Charlotte as she is going to her forever home today with my aunt & uncle!

Very happy for her, but I still have no interest in her mom or brothers...

Today it's HOT here...I got all my cages and litter boxes cleaned and now I'm just relaxing. Kids are wanting to go in the pool so we will end up there soon I'm sure.

Back to work tonight, I've been off since Friday, I so don't want to go back

But that's ok.

Morning!

for interest for the furkids, Kailie. And congrats to Charlotte and her new parents!

Back at work this morning. I do have work to do, but I'm putting things off.

Vet appt for Tabby tonight and we have to pick up a case of canned KD food for Whisper, our CRF kitty. That's pretty much it, thank goodness.

We went to my sister's last night for dinner and to watch their community's fireworks. That town puts on a beautiful display and, since my sister lives so close to the Commons where they do their fireworks, we have the best seat in town.....their front porch! We had dinner by their pool (just meatballs subs, salads, baked beans, and peanut butter pie for dessert, with margaritas and strawberry daicquiris) and there was enough food that we brought some home for leftovers tonight. Plus I have some leftover Louisville Wings that I made on Sunday in the fridge. No cooking tonight!

My niece and nephew came home for the weekend, too, so we were able to spend some time with them. I just love my niece....she's such a special person and her DH is a sweetie, too. We were able to catch up a bit with news.

So that was pretty much our evening. Very nice and relaxing....except for knowing that we had to all go back to work this morning!

Pam - good luck at the vet with Tabitha!!! She is such a little doll. I love her name too

Spent most of the weekend attending to my anxiety-ridden dog, Henry, over the fireworks. He is now on Xanax which helps some. But we really are a slave to his panic this time of year

. We did watch the Chicago Navy Pier fireworks on TV last night

. Went antiquing on Saturday and found some really cool cat ceramics. I just love to collect anything cat. I am also into fish knick-knacks too.

Today I am going to mow the lawn this morning before it's back to work walking dogs. It is gonna be a hot one!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Morning, or by the time I'm finished typing it will be good afternoon.. Sunny and hot and a bit humid again. I love this heat.

I slept in late today, because BF took the day off. He didn't plan on it until this morning rolled around...

Today is the grand opening of Beachwood BBQ & Brewing in downtown Long Beach! Beachwood BBQ is in Seal Beach, but theyfinally opened the long awaited brewpub in LB. I WAS going to go there for lunch and beat the happy hour/evening crowds, but I relized I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon! I thought it was July 15, but I was wrong. It's July 5. Duh. Anyway, BF is going to catch the bus downtown, and then I'll drive over to the new Beachwood after my appointment. Blah. Oh well.

Oh yeah, when we were riding our bikes home from the party we were at yesterday, we came across a big puppy, looked like a Husky, and he had no collar and looked clean and was very friendly, so I think he's someone's. I think he must have run away from his house because of fireworks, or maybe his people had a party and he just ran off in the confusion of lots of people over and doors opening. Anyway, we took him back to Scott's (well he followed us on our bikes) to see if he knew the dog. He didn't. I'm not sure if he kept the dog in his yard overnight or let him roam around to try to find his way back home. Whatever happened, I hope the little guy is ok. He was so cute and friendly and laid back.

So that's my day. Have a good one!! Stay cool, and don't work too hard!! (I wish I had to go to work today!!)
