I've just started using one and bought this one at a recommendation from a friend: http://www.premiumecigarette.com/

I have cut back on real cigarettes but not as far as I plan to. Before I started these, I weaned myself off of regular smokes by switching to American Spirit brand - all natural tobacco without the 1000 chemicals put into most cigarettes. I went through nearly full withdrawel when I did that, which made it easier to go to e-cigs. Both American Spirit and e-cigs only have nicotine. The 1000's of chemicals added to most smokes is what is really physically addicting. If you go straight to e-cigs from regular smokes, be prepared to go thru withdrawl symptoms.

Soooooo.... I am taking the plunge!

I ordered this one: Joye eGo-T
http://goodejuice.com/store/images/c...joye_ego-t.jpg
It comes with 2 1000mAh batteries, 2 atomizers, 6 tanks, and the chargers.
Heavy (pack+/day) smokers say this battery lasts over a day, which is very important to me... I like the tank over the cartridge for the same reasons - I can refill less; an important point when I am on the road...
Now we will see if I like the liquids!
How long do these atomizers last?

Good choice! I have the same set for traveling. The atomizer life differs. I had one die after just two weeks. Some people report having the same experience, while others say they've gotten 2 or 3 months. They tend to last longer if you rotate 2 or 3. I guess they like a rest.

Thanks for all the tips!! I am excited
Especially about the part where I am going to be able to smoke in my hotel rooms! yuppie!!!!

I think with 6 tubes of 10ml of liquids (from different vendors) it came down to $100. "Expensive", but not nearly as much as what I spend in cigarettes anyways... And if now all I need to buy is liquids and atomizers... man, this is going to save me a TON of $$$$!!!

Even though I hate hate hate flavored cigs, I went ahead and bought some flavored ones that had HIGH marks at the forum - since the tobacco ones don't taste like tobacco anyways, I want to give it a try

I also bought 3 different strengths - 24, 18 and 12... They say Tanks don't need as much as the cartridge ones, but we will see... I have a feeling I will start at the 24 and station on the 18.

momofmany - you should visit that forum.... they have a TON of information there, including on how to smoke to get the most amount of nicotine, the best liquids for the craves (the ones that simulates the taste better), the differences in equipment, etc....
You really don't smoke like a cigarette - you pull it into your mouth, then into the lungs - with these guys, the majority of the nicotine gets absorbed on the mouth.... Long, nice pulls instead of strong short ones... Of course I have 0 experience, but I know from reading and watching the videos it does make a big difference...
I read a bunch of good stuff there... Anyways.... Hopefully this will helps my traveling, my pocket and my lungs some!!

jcat - have you ever smoked the eGo in the car? Can you hold it nicely while driving, or is it too heavy?
Also, do you have a case? I saw that charging case they have, but only charges the 650 and 950 batteries - I wonder if they charge the 1000 too?
Next paycheck investment.... and some atomizers

It sounds like you've done your research!

I've got the type B Ego tank (the really big ones) and 1000 mah batteries specifically for long car drives. They're not at all heavy. The charging cases are really for the smaller batteries, because you can get 8+ hours out of the big battery and carry a spare. I've got a USB car charger plug just in case. I do have an Ego case, which easily holds two batteries, two atomizers, a charger and a little bottle of liquid.

@Amy: You'd probably be better off getting a bigger set-up like Carolina's when your current one dies. You'd get better vapor and could use a variety of atomizers.

Thanks Tricia!!!
I have an aluminum case here that I think will work then... Won't spend the $$$ on the charging case. I don't drive all that much, so the chargers that come in the kit are ok, I think. I am glad I can smoke in the car though - that is a must!!
I will make a note on the larger tanks - that would be another plus.

Amy FYI - I only paid $59.95 for the kit, which was a super deal!! For my surprise, 15 minutes after I paid, I received the tracking # from USPS - on a HOLIDAY
It is on it's way to me now

We think it is expensive, but my next trip to 7/11 would set me back $24.... for 4 days!
On that forum I really saw no complaints on the eGo - it is by far the most recommended one.... I think a lot of people want to "smoke" something that resembles a cigarette, but I think it makes more sense to do the reverse, so you don't get kicked out of places... or funny looks... Although I think the law is still the same (which is ridiculous IMHO).

Thanks!!!
I bought the Envy Bliss unit a few months back. I haven't really put my heart into it but when I do use it; It works
If I would be more consistent with it I'd probably be off of tobacco itself for good. I say go for it and I'll be reading the rest of the thread with great interest

So jcat, the type b tanks only work with the type B atomizers, right? Similarly, Type A, with Type A? Are they marked? The Atomizers? I know you can clearly see the difference in size on the tanks... But the attys - are they marked? What if you switch them by mistake?
I see that a lot of people complain about leaking problems with the B systems - do you have them? Do you use the caps the tanks came with? or replaced with silicone caps?
Do you think there is a difference in taste, or only in how long it takes to refill?

The tanks aren't marked, so you basically just go by size. The B tanks are about twice the size of the A tanks. You can't insert the wrong tank, because they simply won't fit due to the shape of the atomizer. The Bs are cylinders, while the As are cone-shaped; they aren't marked, either, and suppliers don't help by using different names for them.

I haven't had any leaking with the A (for my Bulli-A2-T) or B tanks (for my Ego atomizer). The people who have had leakage seem to either not be pushing the tanks in till they click or inhaling too quickly. There's a survey and discussion about it on a German e-cig forum, and the vast majority of respondents have had little or no leakage, regardless of the type of tank they're using.

My B tanks have the hard plastic caps, while I have both silicone and hard plastic caps on my A tanks (bought from different suppliers). The silicone caps are easier to pierce and refill, but don't look like they'll hold up to a lot of repeat refilling. Only time will tell.

I notice a difference in taste and throat hit, but I think it's because of the different "brands" of atomizers I'm using rather than the shape. The Bulli-A-T can be wicked just the way you like it, which for me is around 1.9 to 2.0 ohms; an Ego atomizer has around 2.2 ohms, meaning a higher resistance and therefore less throat hit. You can buy low-resistance Ego atomizers, but they tend to burn out quickly and use a lot more liquid than the normal-resistance ones.

Awwwwwwsssssooooomeeeeee

Now, what am I going to do with my 2 packs of cigarettes? I have left?

It got here yesterday around 4:30 pm, and since I have smoked 1 cigarette - ONE!!! and I had no desire to finish..... this thing tastes much better and yes, definitely it does give me all the nicotine I need.

The only thing is that there is like a switch in my brain - when I crave nicotine, I immediately think of a cigarette... It is an automatic thing. A habit that comes along with the crave. So now, when I feel the crave for the cigarette, I just reach for the e-cig and take some puffs.... Crave gone

I got to admit, the first puffs, well, the first hour or so did not taste good - but it was MY fault. I was supposed to clean/rinse the atomizer before using it as it comes primed, but I simply could not wait.... So I just blew into it and bam! Well.... the primer does taste kinda nasty, but not nearly as nasty as a cigarette anyways.
Today it does taste much much better.
Another thing is, it is not scent-less. It smells like that smoke from a night club.
At least the primer does - today I don't feel as much.
NICE to smoke on my desk and in my bedroom!

My tongue feels kinda funny though

Anyways - there you have it - I think it will be purry easy to not smoke the regular cigarettes again.... Can't wait for my other juices to get here.... Got some pretty nice flavors on the way!

Glad you like it!

Yeah, the primer is pretty nasty stuff, but it's usually gone in about a day. Blowing the atomizer out from the threaded end before using it the first time helps a lot. A lot of people do that for maintenance once a day or once a week, too, to get rid of old liquid. Washing out the atomizer really isn't necessary, but if you do, put a drop or two of liquid directly into it before using it again. The forums are full of threads posted by people who killed their atties by giving them too many baths in water, vodka, etc.. If performance drops off, blowing through the atty and wiping the atty and battery threads with a little alcohol should resolve the problem.

The e-liquids tend to dehydrate you a bit, which is why your tongue feels funny. Drink plenty of water to prevent that. That feeling usually disappears after a week or two, but it's still a good idea to drink water when you're vaping regularly.

Some e-liquids have little or no scent, while others do, but it's usually pleasant. DH doesn't like vanilla scent in the car, but otherwise has no objections. I was using a "rum and coke" liquid last year, and both cats and the neighbor's dog kept getting in my face when I vaped it, so I stopped using it. It was weird, because otherwise they didn't react, but there was something about the smell of that liquid they loved.

One of the things I like best about vaping is being able to do it in the house and teachers' lounge, too.

I am glad to know I don't need to wash the atty frequently - especially because it takes forever to dry! I have no intention to it anyways... I just really wanted to do it once to get rid of the primer. One of them came with SO much primer, that leaked over the e-cig - the whole thing was wet
This is the one I washed...
I don't think I will mind having a little taste of the old liquid in it... I guess I just wait to fade off...
I guess I do need to drink loads of water then - i got restless tongue syndrome

The main problem is when the old liquid is menthol/mint - it's reportedly almost impossible to get rid of the taste. Usually when you switch to another flavor the new flavor becomes dominant after an hour or so.

I usually try to reserve one atomizer for tobacco flavors and use a second for sweet flavors like coffee or chocolate, because they "mix" well.

I suppose cartos are even worst? I just ordered a 5-pack of these cartos that hold 2.5 ml and last weeks and weeks - reportedly on the forum, people have been using them daily for oven 6 weeks! Manufacturer claims you can fill them 100x. Anyways, I suppose you should mark them and use only with that flavor? Or do they transition well from one flavor to another?

Just be careful with menthol or mint. The other stuff should be okay, though marking them would be even better than chancing an incompatible mix.

If the cartos start tasting a little funny or producing less vapor, throw them out. There's a guy on ECF and the biggest German forum who likes to dissect stuff, and he just posted photos of his Ego XL Cartomizer's innards. That was after just a few days of non-constant use. The big worry with the earlier versions was inhaling scorched fibers, and it doesn't look like anything has been improved. Or did you get Clearomizers? I don't think they have fibers (but I don't know that for a fact).

No, not these... I got from a guy called Bill.... From the forum, really for the echo system, but compatible with the 510. Lots of good reviews. I just got a 5-pack to try first to see how I like it. Sounds pretty practical to me if I can just screw it to the battery and go - particularly during my trips. The cleartomizers are just SO complicated!!

So........... The kit got here Thursday afternoon, and since I smoked 2 cigarettes - 1 Thursday and one Friday.
I have no desire whatsoever to smoke. None. In fact, I have 2 packs of cigarettes on me, and the thought of it sounds less than appealing. My taste buds are coming back, and the sense of smell is definitely back - I have to wash my car - it smells like an ashtray

As far as the system goes, the tank/atomizer can be tricky and got me quite frustrated some times. A couple of times last night I wanted to toss it out of the window
. I think the BEST part of this system are the batteries, but the atomizers can definitely get tricky and take some messing with it to work consistently. I am glad my cartomizers are getting here soon so I will have a back up plan. Will also buy a couple more attys.
Anyways - for someone who is looking for a healthier alternative to smoking - for themselves and their loved ones, this is definitely something pretty awesome.
I can't wait to try some nice juices out there and start saving some $$$ too.
Thanks for all the tips you guys! this is great! - I will keep you updated on my progress

The atomizers can be a pain at times, and there are days when nothing seems to work or taste right. A lot of frustration is due to the infamous Chinese spread for factory models. You can buy three identical atties from the same lot, and one will work perfectly, another is okay, while the third is nothing but trouble.

I keep a couple different atomizer models and liquids on hand for those days.

Tricia, it is all your fault!

OMG, I am SO into this, it is not even funny!
Ok, haven't smoked a real cigarette since maybe day one or two? Ended up giving the two packs of cigs I bought to the cleaning lady

Have I saved $$$? Hum..... doubt
But a lot of it is my fault - got drunk in Vegas on my b-day
and lost 3 batteries
so spent a lot of money right there....
Also, some money I should not spent on attys - now I learned - FORGET them! Got some AWESOME long lasting trouble free cartos and also ordered some long lasting clearomisers for the thicker juices - the Vision Deux, which holds 3.5 ml, and the CE2, holding 2ml each. They last over a month each and are easy breasy.

Now......... the juices - man, I am going NUTS

So, here is the thing: I am just making sure that for now I don't blow my "analogs" budget (cigarettes, everybody!!
).... But I am SO happy that I am not coughing anymore, that I have a TON of energy, that I don't stink, that I feel a LOT healthier, that my bronchitis is GONE, I am sleeping better........ and that I have vaped ALL THE WAY TO THE AIRPLANE GATE
yeah!!!!! AND - talk about staying in non-smoking rooms!!!!!

Awesome awesome awesome!!!!!!!
L-O-V-E this stuff!

Thank you so much Tricia!! Thanks for all your help - I really, really do appreciate it!!
