Hi all, I'm glad there is a forum like this where I can ask for advice...

I've just gotten a kitten, separated from his mother, it was still breast-feeding, it would stop in a few weeks, and it was such a stress for him, that it couldn't stop crying as soon as it would stay alone, without someone playing or talking to him. I'm not keeping him in my house, though I let him enter sometimes, to play in my room, since I have a great yard with trees, grass, and lots of space for a cat to enjoy, and we feed him regularly. But it's not enough for him, since I realized today that he doesn't know to take care of himself, he fell from my porch (veranda) - a few metres of height, and almost died
And he is now sneezing, and it has diarrhea
And I'm so sad, but I don't know how to help him get over all his troubles
Any advices? I'm such a know-nothing about small kittens...

I hope I will get some answers from you soon, thank you!

If he is still nursing, he needs to be bottle-fed (NOT with cow's milk) and stimulated to go to the bathroom. There are threads here with all the directions you need, but hand-raising a kitten is hard and often ends in disappointment.

Here's a link to lots of information:

Welcome Almicica to the Forums!

Good you want advices and are seeking information. All new cat owners should do so. (and most of the more "experienced" also learns lotsa in a good forum....

Your place is surely nice for a grown up cat. But a little kitten is defenceless, does have very little orientation, and MUST have protection from either mom or us humans. So DONT let him out alone!
Do keep him inside. In the beginning not too big space. One room perhaps in the beginning.
As he has diarrhea you dont want him to soil too much either. So if he cant cotrol the diarrhea, let him be in the bathroom till he is better and uses the litter 100%.

If he was still nursing the mom, he should probably have substitute milk. KMR is good, there are also other brands.
If you can get goat milk, it is always OK. In fact, it is practically my recommendation.

(what food did you gave him?)

The litter a classical cat sand made of clay. Not a clumping sort. (clumping is ok later on, but not for small kittens - dangerous if they ate it)

YOU must be his Mom or Dad. Lotsa work in the beginning, but it will soon pay back: he will be your pal, your friend, your loving child. If you get rheumatism, or if you God forbide get a depression - he will be your savior. But this works ONLY for the Mom/Dad or possibly the nearest family.
If you are only just an acquistance - he wont help you much...

Read on threads in the different forums. Go to the public library and borrow a couple of books on having kittens and cat... Read...
Do it quickly, if neglected he can die from you. It can go quickly for such a little one.

Good luck!
