for my Kaymen girl....I can't find her anywhere

She's my 9 yr old tortie
And she's outside!!!

Since we've gotten her she has been an indoor/outdoor cat. She would go out in the Summer for a few hrs a day and strictly indoor all winter (her choice). However once we bought our house in the country we've lost 3 cats to foxes
So this year I said ABSOLUTELY NO WAY is ANY of the cats going outside. Kasey and Oliver have never been outside so that was good but Kaymen wanted out BADLY.

She ran out on me a few times and I would grab her and bring her back in.
I even mentioned to Craig that she has adapted to indor life quite well, she would relax in the windows and she stopped meowing to go out...I always told her it was for her own good.

However Friday night in the middle of the night I got soooooooooooo hot. So I opened my bedroom window. It's been open on and off for a while and she would just sit in it...

Saturday morning I got up and was getting the cats breakfast ready, all 3 cats always come running for their food and this time only Oliver and Kasey came...weird!

Then it hit me, I ran into my room and sure enough she got a hole in the screen and she was gone. I didn't panic since she's been outside before, she's done it for 9 yrs so no biggie, WRONG! She's still not home and it's Sunday morning. The thing that worries me is she's NEVER been gone this long, if she stayed out for the night she would sleep in the shed (she can get into it) and in the morning when she heard me up with the dogs she would come running to the house looking for her breakfast. She also always comes when you call her. She was never one to travel, she would go across the road to visit the lady across the street, she would go back to the shed and sun on the deck, that was it...

I can't find her anywheres and nobody has seen her

I don't know what to do.....

I've looked and called, sat outside and just listened, I've shook treats and walked up and down the roads....

I really don't have a good feeling

Tysin my 5 yr old is so close to her, he lost it a bit ago and just cried and cried and cried.

Craig is hopeful, thinks she was just a little scared of all the people (we had company all weekend, 2 adults and 3 extra kids) but that wouldn't have bothered her.

I know my cat, I know her routine, I know what she does, where she goes. I know it's been more than a yr since she's been outside but I would think she would still do the same things and go to the same places...

I am sick with worry!

Still no sign of her

Also the NB Power truck was at my neighbors house this morning at 7am, I didn;t know for what until this evening. Apparently a raccoon had climbed up there and electroctued himself, I seen one of my other neighbors go over and heard a gunshot (he is a forest ranger) but never thought much about it. He had to shoot the coon since he didn't completly kill himself.

I was told they generally don't climb up hydro poles for fun, likely he was chased up there, so if that's the case then something is definately around

My BEST advice is to get a raccoon/small animal trap and put it outside where you think she might most likely be and put her favourite food and/or a smelly food in it. This method allowed me to catch my cat that got in the neighbors attic in one day.

SHE'S HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't even know what time it was but I was in bed and I heard Craig say "sppp sppp spp spp (however you spell that), come see Mommy"

Then he goes "Mommy is going to be some glad to see you, Kaymen"

I popped my eyes open and seen her standing in the hallway, I said "OH THANK GOD" and passed back out so when I got up this morning I wasn't sure if it was a dream or not, I elbowed Craig in the ribs and say "hey, is Kaymen really home or did I dream all that?" He just smiled.

I went and got their food started and sure enough she came running with the other 2 to get her breakfast

Going to Canadian Tire today and buying the pet screen!!

I can't thank you guys enough for all your thoughts and prayers, it means so much
