Has anyone used this product. I bought them and Wal Mart and now I am wondering if they are safe. All input appreciated.

List the ingredients, and people can tell more easily.

Generally speaking, baby wipes are fine, even the aloe vera ones (usually very bad for cats) since its such a minimal exposure. Plain would be best though.

I believe the ones I'm using are pampers brand, and no issues to date.

Personally, I won't buy anything that comes from Hartz but I got some wipes from WalMart, Petkin Kitty Wipes. I've used them to wipe the cats down completely and nothing bad has happened. In fact, the kitties seem to enjoy it.

These are not baby wipes. The ingredients are water, furfactants, conditioning agents, vitamin e, aloe, preservative, fragrance.

To be honest, as a rule, I buy nothing Hartz. Their rep in other areas like the flea topicals makes anything with their name on it suspect to me.

If they made vitamin D milk, I wouldn't buy it.

Thats't the price they pay when they continue to make product that sickens and kills cats.

Are furfactants the cat version of surfactants? Funny typo. Surfactants can be harmful, but they don't list what kind, its probably low enough not to be that much of an issue. Aloe as mentioned before is toxic to cats, but again I think its one of those issues of exposure. For a small amount, the body just breaks it down, but if they were to eat quite a bit of an aloe plant then you'd need to rush em to the e-vet, so its hard to say. I don't know why it would need or you'd want to put fragrance on your cats coat, but if you smell it and its not strong then its probably just a tiny tiny amount. Hartz has a bad name as a company because of the neurotoxin they put in their flea treatments, but the wipes seem fine. Understandable to have trust issues with a brand that has been busted numerous times for dangerous flea products.

While I don't support them, and wouldn't buy it, well, you already did, and tossing $$$ on the trash nowadays is just not smart is it? As far as safety goes, there is nothing on these ingredients that tells me this is not a safe product - if someone gave them to me, I would use it. At least they are alcohol free...

Walmart will take ANYTHING back. A.N.Y.T.H.I.N.G.

Doesn't matter if its opened or not or even a stupid reason. I bought a frozen pizza there, it tasted horrid, and dangit this is America and you shouldn't have to pay for stuff that sucks. So I brought back a mostly uneaten cooked pizza in the box, lol. Got my cash back.

I have my receipt and I will be taking them back to Wal Mart. I am thinking maybe I could get the same result by just wiping them with a damp towel.

This is probably the best thing to do. Hartz is just a lousy brand with a reputation to match. I avoid it like the plague.

My sphynx just get wiped down with a damp cloth between baths and its fine.

This is what I would do, too.

I routinely avoid purchasing Hartz products, but beyond that, our kitties have to deal with so many environmental chemicals already, I just won't deliberately add to that load.

Ditto. And the quality control and safety testing done on things made for human infants is usually very high, as they can't afford the lawsuits. Since they make a kajillion billion too and there is so much competition, there are often awesome sales too. You see bulk purchases showing up on slickdeals.net now and then, and the wipes last forever and don't dry out before you open them, so no worries about shelf-life.

The obvious advantage is convenience, as they are great not just for wiping paws, booties, or the kitty down, but can also be used to wipe off any little mess left on the litterbox and thrown away immediately in the trash which is hygienic.
