Hello everyone:

My Lucas is doing so much better, I'm so happy
The only thing is that I'm not sure why he is doing better, it could be the fact that he is taking a higher dose of prednisolone (10mg) or the fact that i changed his food to gran free Blue Wilderness duck formula. He loves this food, besides, the hypoallergenic food didn't help him, he got worse.

I also noticed that his ears are so much better! he always looked like he had earmites, but he didn't, and now they look clear.

I wish I had done one thing at a time, anyway, I will know soon if it is the food or the pred because I will start lowering his dose tomorrow. He just finished his antibiotics.

here is my boy, isn't he just adorable?? I love himmmmmm!

Oh my gosh, he is TOTALLY adorable! It's not wonder at all you love him so much!!

I'm very glad he's feeling better, Momto4kitties.
Hopefully, whatever the initial cause of the improvement, he will maintain his health as you step down the prednisone!

Vibes for maintenance!!

So glad to read he is doing better!!! I sympathize with you because I have a cat who recently has been going through the same thing and it has been so frustrating trying to make him feel better! Mine is on the same diet yours is on.

And you're right, he is absolutely adorable!!!
for continued progress!

Thank you all for the good vibes and kind words
I'm hoping it is the grain free food that is helping, because he was on 7.5mg of prednisolone and Hypoallergenic food and he was doing awful, now he is on 10mg and at the same time of the grain free food and the change has been amazing. I hope it is the food so i can get this problem solved.

BMW Kitty Cat: I hope your kitty does better, isn't it terrible to see them itching so much and not been able to help? I hope your kitty gets better sppn. how is he doing?

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
Oooo I hope the food is helping and all goes well when you start tapering him down on the pred!

And I don't think it's my imagination - I think he looks better than the last pictures!

Oh Tammy!!!
Lucas looks so much better. And boy, is he ever a gorgeous cat. He looks a little like Pipsqueak
. I am really hoping when you lower the Pred. He still stays good and that it is the food helping.
he is really a sweet boy

Hi Tammy,

Yes it is such a horrible feeling. I go crazy trying to figure out what to do next to try and help him with the itching. Right now he is doing a lot better. He scratched but it is way less than before. I switched his food to Blue grain free canned food and dry food. It seems to be working. The weird thing is he never had this problem until I moved 3 months ago so I'm thinking maybe he has some other type of allergies unrelated to food. The sad thing is I will probably never know since its so difficult to determine what type of allergy it is. I did find a vet dermatologist just in case it get too bad.

I'm really happy to see Lucas pictures and how well he is doing.

Thank you
Yes, I think my boy looks a little like your beautiful Pipsqueak, he is adorable and so are your other kitties

Hi Carrie, isn't it awful not knowing for sure what the problem is? I hope you can figure out what is happening to your kitty. Could it be stress? If you moved stressed could have triggered it, in Lucas case I think stress has a lot to do with him getting sick.

Today i had a little set back with my Lucas, I lowered the dose to 7.5 mg and his belly turned red, can this behappening so fast? I just don't get it. I guess I will be giving him 10mg tomorrow. Abnd the vet is not available during the weekend, I guess I'll just have to keep him on 10mg until i talk to him.

I'm so glad he's doing better!

He really does look better than in your previous pics. I've recently switchd my guys to the Wilderness and they\
e doing great on it, so I'm glad to hear it's a hit with Lucas.

Lucas is such a cutie.

Not sure if the drop in Pred. would have that quick of an effect but I would also just keep him on the 10mg. till Tuesday when vet is open. Sending more vibes to your beautiful Lucas tonight and some
to you, Tammy. Your a super meowmy

P.S. I also just recently started to add Wilderness canned food, Duck, Chicken and Turkey to my cats rotation and they just LOVE that wet food. I am really like the ingredients.
