Kitten licking his feces?

My kitten squeakers has a parasite right now and I've caught him licking his diarrhea after he uses the litter box, now I'm thinking that could reinfect him with the parasite and just plain can't be healthy under normal circumstances either, why is he doing this how can I make him stop?

I change his litter every morning sometimes at night right now depending on how much he has gone and I try to follow him in there when I am home but I can't watch him every time he goes. Thoughts?

If he has been medicated for the parasite, remember many of those deplete good gut flora; at times like this licking feces is a way of repopulating the gut. Lots of gut flora replacements available now, but even plain, unlfavoured yogurt works in a pinch. DO contact the vet regardless
