I no! i no! not another diet thread!!!

OK will buy 15 cans of smilla a month and feed 100g a day per cat. which is £10.87 a month for them both.

Then i will get two 10kg sacks of Porta 21 grain free food.

They will have 50g of that per day which says a cat should have a day as a guildline for a 4kg cat.

So i will be using 100g per day between them of that dry food. So those two sacks should last 6 monthes and 2 weeks give or take a few days.

Once opened will the sack last up to three monthes if its rolled up tightly?

If it does i can feed 100g of dry porta 21 a day between them and 200g of smilla between them per day.

And that will come to £19.58 JUST under my budget.

So if i can get each bag of dry food to last around 3-4 monthes without going off, all i have to do is convince my other half im not insane for wanting to buy it

What do you thinks? be brutal

100g of wet + 50g of dry sounds like Way too much for an average sized cat. Keep in mind that the amount listed on the back of the bag is usually too much for a cat and if you are feeding that Plus 100g of wet, your cats will probably balloon up into big rolly blobs with legs. (You said be brutal right? :p)

The fish flavors seem alright, but the other flavors are listed as having 'meat by-products' which I avoid at all costs. Also I'm not sure if these are complete meals or not, maybe someone from the UK/Europe can help..

The dry seems to be really good as far as the meat sources, not sure about those herbs though, I think rosemary and peppermint are toxic to cats.. :/ but it is a holistic food, so.. idk *shrugs*
