My boys each weigh 3.8 pounds. They are 14.5 weeks old and are getting quite big and looking more adult each day.

I know "ideal" weight varies on what size cat they're going to be and so forth, but I was wondering if that seems big for 3-month old cats to you, and if it makes you think they'll be long and tall and big as adults.

I guess my thought is, a lot of people have 8 and 9 pound cats, and my kittens are almost half of that at only 3 months. They'll keep growing until they're almost a year old, right? 10 months or so? If so, and they keep it up at this rate, I feel like I'm going to have circus sideshow cats!

They're lean and have the right body profile - the vet says their weight is fine. Just wanting some insight. Here's a recent picture. They're sleeping, but that's the only time I can get them to stay still!

They aren't going to be small kitties when they grow up, but they aren't abnormally large either. A basic rule of thumb is "one pound per month", so they're right on track. I'll guess they'll be around 12 pounds (at a healthy weight, not if they get fat!) when they grow up. . .come back to this thread in a year and update, see if I was right!

If the vet says their fine, I wouldn't worry too much.
3 of my boys are 16 pounds and only one of them is "fat". (Osiris
) Shadey & Imhotep are just big cats. Actually all of my cats are big with the exception of Pria and LP, although LP is well on his way.

I wouldn't say they are too big. My cats have weighed around 1,5kg (3.3 pounds if the converter is correct) when I've gotten them (Utu & Kuura when they were 12 weeks, Tomu 14 weeks and Luna 16 weeks).
Now they are all between 8.8-14 pounds and none of them fat.
Luna looks so tiny when compared to my boys.
