Tiki can be...well.."antisocial" with the rest of my family. She's always been kind of timid around everyone else, but tonight she shocked me!

She actually jumped on the couch with my Mom and they ate Cheerios together!
Tiki usually just runs away from Mom even though no one has ever done anything bad to her. She just likes to tease us!
As I speak, Tiki is curled up next to Mom and they're sharing a bowl of Cheerios. Well...not really...just a couple pieces.
Tiki is excellent at give these pathetic looks and Mom has never been able to handle those sad looks.
That dang cat refuses to eat Human food...but obviously she had a hankering for some cereal tonight!

Just had to share with you all. It really is a break through for her. Maybe this is the beginning of her warming up to everyone!

Or maybe your mom just had something she wanted!

Seriously, I know how you feel about that. Maybe it is the beginning of something new for her! I hope the trend continues for you!

Thanks Guys! I adopted Tiki a year ago this month and she's always been kind of skiddish around other people. She seems to moody to everyone, but not some much to me. That's why she's got the nickname Miss B*tchy!
I've noticed in the past couple of months, she hasn't been running away when someone comes near her. I'm so happy that she's finally coming out of her shell and her true pursonality is starting to show!

Nope, not yet. She did call a local cleaning supply store and they said they've got a hand cleaner that will work. I'm sure she'll give it a try. Thankfully, she hasn't been hounding me about her inky hands for a while!

That definitely sounds like a noteworthy event. My sister's cat would never jump onto the couch beside me unless she wants some food from me; like the ham and pinneapple pizza I had the other day. I couldn't resist and gave her some ham. (I tried to tell her that it wasn't "kitty ham," but she wouldn't listen.
) What does Tiki look like? Recently, I saw some pics you posted in another thread, but I can't remember which. I do remember the ink thread though and was also curious about the outcome. -sucks that your mom can't get it off.

Thanks! Her fur is so soft and actually it's becoming a problem. That little girl can get matted 10 minutes after I brush her out!
That's just one of the joys of having a Himmie!
