As I sit here eating my dinner

How do you eat you chips and in the US and other countries your fries?

I have mine usually swimming in gravey or else salt and vinegar and dip them into curry sauce yummmmmmm

Depends on my mood.
I like em with gravy, ketchup, bbq sauce, mayo (not all at once obviously)
I even like poutine.

I like them with ketchup, but it's got to be Heinz or, as second choice, Kraft. German ketchup is more like watery tomato paste. I embarrass DH by taking my own ketchup to restaurants, especially when we're on vacation.

I like mine hot and mostly eat them plain with just salt, sometimes with a side of vinegar. Sometimes, I eat them with spicy mustard and sometimes ketchup.

Chips? You mean french fries, right? OK, I like mine with ketchup, or tabasco, gravy, or with cheese sauce on top, OR swimming in sour cream....

Depending on my mood and where I am

* ketchup (yes, Heinz -- nothing else will do)
* mayo
* gravy (if I trust it not to be too salty)

And, no, not all at once.

Usually just ketchup, but I do love poutine once in awhile, mmmmm.

Malt vinegar (only malt, please) and a bit of Heinz ketchup. Must be Heinz.

With salt, nothing else.

I used to eat fries all the time. Not anymore , now I order plain mashed instead. But when I did, I LOVED them with lots of ketchup.

What is poutine? I don't think I've ever heard of that.

Poutine is a Canadian thing.
While I'm not Canadian, I have eaten it quite a few times and love it.

Lightly salted or with ketchup but have had them with chili and cheese, ranch dressing and bacon, or with bleu cheese dressing.

I just like fried potatoes.

Because most places serve frozen fries, I douse them with enough ketchup so I dont have to taste the fries but when I can get real chips, you know, fresh potatoes cut in house, just plain is good because they are a rare thing. For the record, poutine is disgusting.

My favourite way to eat fries is poutine. I love fries, I love cheese and I love gravy so its even better all together. The best poutine is from New York Fries. They even have braised beef poutine and it tastes like a roast beef dinner on top of fries.

If its frozen fries, I put ketchup on them. McDonalds fries, I dip in mayo.

I used to love fries with salt and vinegar but after working in a fry truck for 8 months, I haven't wanted to eat vinegar. All we had was fries, salt and vinegar so I got sick of it.

Dip & sometimes with beans........

Mustard, Honey Mustard, Ranch dip (like ranch dip for chicken nuggets), or Ketchup. I love Mcdonalds hot mustard for fries.

I like my chips in ketchup or a homemade garlic cream cheese dip.

Fries, usually ketchup , used to eat them in vinegar on occasion but not so much anymore.

Hehe, I have a Canadian friend who was horrified when I told her how much the SO and I wanted to try poutine. (Apparently, she shares your view, but we enjoyed it.)

I usually eat fries/chips with ketchup, but I think they're good with curry sauce or malt vinegar as well.

AJ, have you ever had sweet potato fries? I looooove them...
It varies. If I cut them from my own grown potatoes, just seasoning salt. Otherwise it's either ketchup, vinegar, or a poutine.

It depends on what type of fries I am eating. I like the shoestring fries just with salt but if I'm eating the steak fries I add ketchup to them.
