I would have to say that I liked Blade 2, Wesley Snipes looked really good in both but better and the action, fight scenes were better and intense.

Great!!! Who do you think plays a really good vampire? My favorite is Gary Oldman in Bram Stocker's Dracula with Winona Ryder and Keanu Reeves. Oldman played such a steamy, sexy dracula, even when he wasn't speaking I felt I just wanted to get bit by him LOL!

Bram Stoker's Dracula was great. I liked Blade, but not Blade 2. Best I've seen so far is Shadow of the Vampire with Willem Dafoe.

My favorite is "Kindred, the Embraced", a series that only made it to 6 episodes. It is based on the Vampire:The Masquerade's World of Darkness. Highly recommended, it's available usually on eBay or half.com for a decent price.

Anybody here ever play VTM?

I love Shadow of the Vampire. I still think Willem Dafoe should have won an Oscar for his role
The friends I went and saw it with didn't understand it and didn't like it, but I went and bought it on VHS as soon as I could and have watched it several times. And Blade was great (I still think Wesley Snipes was way sexy in this role), it's on my list of movies to buy on DVD.

I like the Blade series, I also like Anne Rice's The Vampire Lestat w/Tom Cruise. Her Queen of the Damned movie was ok, but not great. I wish they would make a movie of my favorite Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamillton. Her books are great she has some really interesting vampires in them. I also enjoyed Bram Stokers Dracula movie. I will be missing the "Buffy" tv series.

I *loved* Kindred, The Embraced.. I was so upset when it didn't go on longer

I usually like more of a historical kinda vampire movie/novel as compared to stuff like Blade, dracula 2000, Queen of the Damned.. But above anything else my favorite vamp movies have to have a strong romantic/sexual undertones.. So my fave is Bram Stoker's Dracula--fave scenes are when Mina's in bed and Dracula (as green fog) sneaks in, and also when Lucy comes back to the crypt.. Actually I love just about the whole movie lol.. I'm a vamp-fanatic. I also liked INterview with the Vampire.. Queen of the damned was OK but I think they geared it toward the teeny bopper culture. Dracula 2000 was way cheesy but had good intentions. I don't like movies that make vampires ugly/disfigured because I always like the beauty/sensual nature of them, not the wild animal aspect, so I can't stand from dusk til dawn or any other movie where vampires are more the evil race that needs to be annihilated. Usually I like books better than movies anyhow..

Where do you get the games?

I agree also Annabelle, I like them more sensual and realistic where you end up wanting to be bit by them, not hate them or be grossed out, I didn't care too much for those either, they tend to make them trashy and slutty. That is why I liked Bram Stoker's Dracula, they were all so sensual and so yummy and I really wanted to be in that movie with Oldman for once, I think I watched it 5 times that night acting out the scenes with my friends LOL, that was funny!!! Anyway....I'll try to rent the Dafoe one....anyway, continue on fangnatics!

tybalt.. i seriously have not seen Kindred since it was on TV, but I remember I thought I would have been torreador.. Although I always found the Brujah majorly appealing... dunno.. I think maybe i'll buy them now that I'm thinking of it, and then i'll get back to u
..

I can't believe they kept buffy and trashed kindred.. That is so ridiculous!

Kindred was probably the best show that Fox ditched. But I do own the series on VHS, so I can get my fix.
I played for a while, and I was Toreador. Now why doesn't it surprise me at all that Tybalt would also be a Toreador??
Hubby was a Gangrel.

Bram Stoker's Dracula has to rank right up there for best vampire pic. Of course I loved Interview with a Vampire, even though Tom Cruise was all wrong for the part. Stuart Townsend got Lestat almost perfect in Queen of the Damned, but there were way too many other flaws with that movie.

But of course, Bela will always be the quintessential vampire. It may be cheesy, but considering Dracula was made in 1932 it is an amazing piece of film.

Movin' on up!
The 1979 version of "Dracula" was great! Frank Langella can nibble on my neck (or anything else, for that matter) anytime!

Frank Langella was the sexiest Dracula by far, IMO. I fortunately saw him both in the Broadway version as well as the movie.

I liked Tom Cruise as Lestat a lot, as well as Anthony Banderas in Interview with the Vampire. Kirsten Dunst also played a great role ("I want some more..")

But of course, without the great Bela Lugosi, who knows whether the genre would have persisted!
