For a while I have wanted a white goat - and here she is! Snowball joined us a few weeks ago and has settled in very well with the ponies and with Tasha.
She is a Nubian by breed, which means she had very long horns when she came. Usually, these are taken off at birth when it can be done easily and painlessly, but unfortunately her previous owner had not had it done, and so after a week or two of watching her try to use them (not aggressively but she likes to headbutt people and other animals as a friendly gesture) I had to get the vet to take them off. It was done under a general anaesthetic but not a pleasant procedure.
Anyway she is fine now, and here are the pix.
Here she is with horns when she arrived, a bit scared and dishevelled
This is her today
Tasha likes to see what Snowball has for her daily treat -but so far she does not think much of the banana skins and green veggie leaves!
