Hello forgive my bad english I will try my best.
I have a 1 year old male persian cat and he is unneutered. He is a wonderful cat and extremely calm and well behaved.
I recently adopted an 8 week old toy poodle (female) and she is bothering my cat every day.
She will take hes food , go inside is litter etc... Atm moment the dog is so small he can't come upstairs or jump on the couch but when he can what privacy will my cat have?
I am afraid he will stop using the litter and maybe start spraying?
My cat is so passive with the puppy I wish he would smack some sense into her but nothing. I just saw hima few times hitting her with paws but she just doesn't get it.
I know she is young but I am afraid this will escalate and I don't know what to do and how to control and correct this behaviour.
I had to move my cat food ans water because of the dog and I feel bad for this since he was here before.
I was thinking of just returning the puppy to the breeder and let him keep the money since it was my fault for not using my braind and taking into considerations all this potential nightmares.
I feel horrible but I am afraid my cat will have no peace and maybe this will also change him for the worst.
I don't know what to do =/

Maybe I am being paranoid and they will actually become best friends. Maybe it's to early to tell?
