okay, okay, I know we all have issues. And I love Turtle's funny, quirky ways. I love her more with each passing hour I get with her. I never thought about what she was doing with the wadded up scraps of paper she enjoyed batting around the apartment. I just knew that when she wanted a new one she would sit at my feet and stare at me. Then I began "missing" items-just a couple important things. I thought I was losing my mind, until this morning when I began cleaning under the bed and found her "stash"
"Hello, my name is Turtle and I'm a hoarder"
Oh and she's even trying to protect it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cute! Under the bed seems to be a popular place to hoard cats' treasures. Jamie likes to stash DH's guitar picks under the LR carpet. We've heard that awful "crunch" many times while walking in(to) the room.

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
None of our kitties were hoarders, but anything on the floor (when we lived in a house) usually wound up under the fridge, stove, or curio cabinet (small opening, can't seen under). We had to fish everything out weekly... and, of course, Flowerbelle was always pushing stuff on surfaces onto the floor, so unless it was large... well - you get where this is going.

I think that is too incredibly cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So.... are you going to let her keep her stash?

Yes Laurie, she can have her stash. Although I took the money, hair tie and hair roller away, but of course she can keep it. I'll have to check it periodically for MY valuables.

Do we need start to planning for a Turtle intervention?

I've just become used to the fact that every time I move a big piece of furniture I'll find a horde of paper, fuzzy mice, bottle caps, straws, etc. I don't think Holland's a hoarder, though, She's just a batter with short arms.

I thought I saw a couple of bills in the stash. How much did she have stashed for a rainy day?

Oh yes! She had $21.00 in the pile!! What's THAT all about? Is she saving up for a trip to Florida to see her daddy, or what?

If I could ever find the place Midnight hides things, that's probably what it would look like

Love the money!
A former RB kitty of mine would walk off with dollars of mine in her mouth. It was really funny.

Aw, she must be so disappointed that you found her stash. Now she has to start all over again.
Pipsqueak shoves his toys under the stove and fridge and then lays on the floor and points with his paw demanding me to get down and fetch his toys. He doesn't have a stash, he makes sure I know where he has hidden toys, etc. I think he gets a thrill out of me having to crawl around looking under furniture and appliances for his toys.
