Happy Birthday Brillo!

Five years ago today I rushed to my neighbor's to see her first litter of American Wirehair kittens. They'd just been born, and there they were: Brillo and Sheba. Never in a million years did I think I would ever be lucky enough to have them live with me, but I did, along with Ziggy who was born ten months later.

Sadly, Sheba went to the Bridge just days after her third birthday. I still grieve for her daily. However, Brillo came to live with me just weeks after Sheba passed, and has helped fill that void.

We had a mini-photo session a few minutes ago. It's hot and humid, so I didn't have a lot of patience to wait for that "extra cute" shot. Happy Fifth Birthday, Brillo! You are the sweetest little girl!









And Happy Birthday at the Bridge, Sheba. You are still loved and missed!

LOL--Brillo raised 2 litters of kittens before I got her, so I'm pretty sure she's a girl! Lots of people mistake her for a boy, tho. Does she really look like a boy????

Oh my god I'm so sorry! I knew Brillo was a lady, now that you mention it. Plus you even said she's a girl at the end of your first post... Wow I'm out of it. I guess I kind of skimmed the post and was too eager to send happy birthday wishes.

Will you forgive me, Miss Brillo??

All is forgiven. She just ate her birthday bowl of raw meat and is back into the yard to hunt for bugs!

Personally, I find it hilarious. Some cats do look very feminine, and others masculine. I guess Brill must be androgenous!
