Longest day

Well its the longest day here today, from here on its down hill to winter
Anyway in france we have the Feté de Music all over france tonight there will be free concerts, bands playing in the streets chiors roaming around singing. I think this is a lovely custom and although it was only started by the minister of culture about 30 years ago everyone really got into it. So tonight all the french will be out and about enjoying themselfs. Any other countries out there do anything for thier longest day?

I know, I wish I felt energetic enough to join in! But I was at the horse ranch today, took an unbroken young horse into the round pen and spent a very energetic hour getting him to walk and trot around the arena to command, then rode for a hour afterwards on a schooled horse practicing transitions from walk/trot/ canter! So I am happy but exhausted.

I don't know of anything here in the US ... but I know I'm headed to the beach after work (in just a few minutes!)

Here in the U.S., we don't have a celebration for the longest day of the year!! But, enjoy your evening in France

I dont think theres any here either, especially the north east where I hail im pretty sure theres nothing

the only thing going on around here is a cornhole tournament at a local beer garden! We were gonna go, but I think we will be there tomorrow instead for our usual scrabble night!
