One of the veterans of the show Jackass has died. Ryan Dunn was in a car accident yesterday morning and was killed along with an unidentified passenger. It's believed alcohol was a factor as just hours before, he posted a picture on Twitter of him drinking. He was one of the regulars on Jackass and participated in many of their stunts. He will be missed.

The really sad part is that he drank then drove and killed someone else too. Lucky he didn't take out any other innocent people on the road. Maybe cold, but I have no sympathy for people who are on suicide runs.

If alcohol is ruled out, I would take that back. I wish all cars made the driver do a breathalyzer first lol.

Definitely a big loss in the entertainment world. I too am against drunk drivers, but it's still sad. The pictures of the wreck are insane, can't even believe it was once a car.

I agree with this 100%. I never thought any of what he did was "entertainment" in any way, BUT I feel for his friends and family, and am just thankful no other innocents were killed. Play with fire, you're eventually going to get burned, IMO.

In some reports I have read Ryan Dunn was NOT the driver, he was the passenger and that they both were identified by tattoos and markings on them

I'll withhold judgement, but so far they say speed "may" have been a factor, when there is a 100 foot skidmark leading up to the obviously high speed crash of the Porsche estimated to be pretty much ludicrously over the speed limit for the area. And one of the witnesses that is not named yet at the bar said he was "wasted".

Its hard to feel sorry for guys getting wasted and racing down public streets in a GT3, as who knows who else they might have killed. Perhaps a whole family with three little kids in the backseat of a Volvo instead of just the guard-rail hit at mach 10.

The police report says he (the owner of the car) was the driver. I just read that the passenger was someone called Zachary Hartwell.
It's sad once again to see that drinking and driving isn't taken so seriously and it's done all the time.. "he just had a few..".

I read somewhere that people were saying he was drinking "light beer" and had some "girly shots". Supposedly a family member or friend stated that he wasn't much a drinker...but that just means that even a bit of alcohol can still get a person intoxicated.

I guess there will be a zillion stories and rumors floating around for a while. No one will really know how intoxicated he was until the toxicology test results come in.

I read that he was doing in excess of 110mph. If alcohol and insane speed isn't a death wish what is?

People sometimes get mad at how I look at impaired drivers, but losing two people to one sort of has a lasting effect on a person.

My heart does go out to their families and friends though.

They have now released the results: "Dunn's B.A.C. was .196 ... nearly two-and-a-half times the legal limit in Pennsylvania, which is .08."

That's why I don't understand people classifying alcohol as "girly shots"... doesn't matter what color it is, what it tastes like or how many paper umbrellas it comes with, alcohol is still alcohol. A cosmo gets you just as intoxicated as a shot of Jack Daniels...

My heart goes out to the fine men and women at the Stuggart assembly plant for losing their magnificent Porsche; the fruit of their labor suffering such an untimely death.

The irresponsible, drunk buffoon behind the wheel? Eh.
