Morning all!

I've been up since 6AM thanks to a coughing fit and a tooth ache.
Not a great way to start a Monday. I wonder if I'm ever going to feel 100% again... I have a coughing fit pretty much every morning, although otherwise I feel better.

What a GREAT weekend we had. We really enjoyed the cat show in Fredericton on Saturday and we got to see so many different breeds of kitties.
They also had a lot of different vendors there so we picked up all kinds of different toys/treats for the kids. We then went to Petsmart were we stocked up even more with food, litter, treats, etc.
After that it was off to the Fredericton shelter where we gave them a big bag of kitty toys because they put out a plea for them on Facebook.
THEN when we went home, we went to the local shelter to give them a bunch of wet food, as they were low. Petsmart had a bunch of it on sale!
It's all fine and dandy to spoil our kitties, but I never forget the homeless babies who need us too.

Yesterday we finally bought the new BBQ we've been wanting as our old one was pretty much toast.
Can't wait to try it out for supper!
hope you all have a great day!

Morning Friends!

Our weekend was pretty low-key. We didn't buy anything at the two sales we went to as the prices really sky-rocketed quickly. So we came home empty-handed, which is good, too. We pretty much spent the weekend outside, working around in the yard. I was in the pool for awhile yesterday, floating around and soaking up some sun. It was nice.

Back to work this morning and all I do is yawn. We have hair appts tonight right after work and that's pretty much it.

My sister and I are planning another yard sale, this time at our house. Probably sometime in July. We still quite a bit of our aunt's things left, plus there are some items that her family and my family would like to try to sell. Dishes and kitchen items seem to go well around my neighborhood because we have a lot of Amish and Mennonites who live here and they're always looking for silverware and kitchen things for their big meals after church services. We should do well.

Have a great Monday!

Good morning

About to head to lunch. Another hot gross day here in SC
My weatherbug forecast says high of 100ºF, blech.

This morning I left for work early, but there was traffic I hadn't seen since school was still in session! Turns out there was a drive by shooting on the interstate this morning, resulting in them shutting it down for hours
. I don't take the interstate to work, but the hubby does, so I told him to find an alternate route. Turns out one of the alternate routes also had been shut down due to a mulch fire! So the route I take to work was a little busier than usual, a lot earlier than usual!

Got a lot of errands to run after work today, and maybe will go back to the yoga class finally after 3 weeks of not going. Need to go a few more times before my unlimited month runs out in order to make it worth the $!

Nothing very cheerful in this area - just watching the water rise and praying it doesn;t rain today. I am just thankful that i am far enough from the closest 'river' that it won't affect me. Highway is closed except to local traffic which means I can get to town, but there is nothing IN town to buy; even the trains are stopped and this is one of the busiest rail lines in North America.

It's a helpless feeling listening to the news and knowing I can do nothing but sit and listen. The little village of Roche Percee is about gone due to a reservior breaking through, and most inhabitants of the Souris River Valley have been evacuated. All dams along the river are opened, and at the largest, the flow rate is 650 meters per second. That is roughly 800 cu yds, a cubic yard is 37 cu ft and a cubic foot of water is 6.25 Imperial gallons (164 fl oz) so it is a huge amount of water. Most of the SE portion of Saskatchewan is in a state of emergency and is likely to be declared a disaster area.

Good afternoon. It's actually sunny and warm here in SoCal!! Of course, yesterday was cloudy and I put off planting some things til today, but I hate being in the sun. So I guess I'll just wait until after 6 or so when the sun is lower in the sky and not so strong.

Did some errands this morning, doing job searching, not in the mood for any house chores today, so I will probably take it easy. BF left dark and early for a work trip to Boston, he gets back Wed. night. Sigh. Lots and lots of travelling.

All the floods sound terrible! Sending some drying vibes up to Saskatchewan!! And Kailie- hope you start to feel better soon!

Yeah, I can't think of much more to report today. Have a good day everyone!
