She actually jumped up and sat on my lap this evening for a little while

Now if only the thug twins (Riley and Xander!) would leave her alone! They just don't understand why she doesn't like them and keep trying to involve her in their "chase and wrestle" games and she just isn't interested
well at least you know they like her

This is just the sweetest story... bless your heart for giving this girl a happy home until she can be with her family again. You've won her over so quickly! You must be a great kittymom.

Just an update.

Sassy is doing well. She is spending more and more time out and about with us in the living room and sits on my lap quite a bit in the evenings.

She discovered the turbo scratcher and just can't get enough of that. She is front declawed so likely has never seen one before. She loves it though.

She still wants no part of Riley and Xander and isn't a bit shy about telling them all about it when they bother her She also sleeps at the bottom of the bed most nights. No idea how long she will be staying, but she is sure a sweet and silly girl

Oh Paula, I'm so glad she's coming out of her shell! Poor baby, what she's been through. The boys sound like they're being very good nature about her... personal preferences.

What a great thing you are doing! Good news that Sassy is gaining confidence.
