My kitten is about 14 weeks old and recently I noticed that he had lost a lot of his whiskers, some of them were growing back as short stubs so at first I wasnt too concerned but now those seemed to have been shed as well. He has a few whiskers left on either side but some of those are bent(not sure if that is normal or not) does anyone have experience with something similar to this?

I found the text in this book spot on, but the illustrations aren't helpful at all. Good over all book

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

That's interesting! The bent whiskers are normal so I wouldn't be concerned about that, but the shedding part is intriguing. Do you have other kitties or is she your only kitty? I'm wondering if one of the others has "snipped" her whiskers. Hopefully, someone will come along with more info for you.

kittens tend to break a lot of whiskers off in their exhuberant play, especially if they have a dog, or another cat to play with.

My first question was do you have other cats/kittens that are playing together?? Perkins chewed off Presley's whiskers too, all the time when they were little kittens
. I have never heard of the whiskers shedding that quickly, they will lose one here and there, so I really think they are getting chewed off by another pet

My kitten was around 14 weeks when we found him and he had no whiskers at all!!! They soon grew back though.
He seems to have phases where he will shed quite a few over a week or so. He is a year old and very active so i'm sure its quite normal.
I dont think that i would worry too much as long as your kittens coat is in good condition.
