Need help ASAP!!!

We have no vehicle here for another 1.5 hours...I have NO WAY to get Sami to the vet until then...

The anti-diarrhea medication is doing nothing. Every bit of water we give her she poops out within 20-30 minutes. Her eyes are turning out and she is very weak...

Is there ANYTHING I can do to re-hydrate her long enough for us to get her to the vet?? I am trying to keep calm...but what can I do? She struggles if I try to give it to her with a syringe and I am scared she is going to get in in her lungs..

I have no professional solutions, but I will start praying! Hang in there.
Maybe try just drops of water (if the kitty will be still and take them) so you don't have to worry about water going to the lungs.

Praying, praying!

Have you contacted your vet?

She made it to the vet. They are going to keep her and watch over her for the next day or two and try to stop the diarrhea and get her hydrated again. If things aren't better by Saturday, then its time to discuss putting her to rest.

I'm not very hopeful but at least I know she'll have better care down there than we were able to give her.

My vet is somewhat of a hippy and loves animals so much that she will give them a chance if there is any glimmer of hope for them. Even she agreed that no improvement in the next day or so means that it's time. At least I will be able to sleep tonight knowing she's in good hands. I certainly didn't sleep well last night.

Sounds like she has a vet that won't be so quick to encourage she be put to sleep, and will make every effort to restore her health.

You didn't give any other details about Parker, like she's been having this sort of health issue for some time?

Sounds like she may have gotten into poison - a poison plant, or ?? something like that?
to you both.

I'm glad you got her there in time. She's in the best place. It's so hard on all of you. You all are in my thoughts.

We have no plants and nothing poisonous the cats can get at. I have another thread explaining what was originally wrong with her. She is old and her body is shutting down, basically. It was very slow and nearly unnoticeable for a while but it seemed like in a matter of days she lost weight and started having really bad diarrhea. She was at the vet for a few days over the weekend but was sent home, where she got much, much worse.

The next 24-48 hours will tell if her tired body can pull through or if she'll have to be euthanized.

I just want her to be happy, whether it be alive or over the rainbow bridge.

Thank you all for the vibes and kind words. I should have another update in the next day or two.

Sami is in my prayers tonight. I hope whatever the outcome, she is at peace. This must be extremely distressing for you. Prayers are coming your way
