Can you identify my mystery cat?

I've been trying to identify the breed of my cat. I'm certain he's a mixed breed, but surely there is some predominant breed that can be identified, especially by someone more knowledgeable than I. Anyone care to attempt solving the mystery?

I checked out the pictures, he's very pretty. He's a black silver classic tabby domestic shorthair.
The headshape is a bit 'orientalish' so there could be some oriental/siamese/balinese/angora etc. in his lines but can't say for sure. What kind of body he has? Long and lean/ short and cobby/ regular..?

Have you thought about taking him to a cat show? He might do well in the household pet category as he is very beautiful.

I agree he is a domestic short hair... His face strikes me as he can be an Oriental Short Hair mix, or have some Siamese in it. Is he talkative and energetic?

What a beautiful kitty! I don't think I've ever seen a black silver classic tabby - and definitely an interesting shape to his head! We have a classic tabby - I don't know if brown is an "official" color - but he's brown and black. The "classic" tabby part is the "bullseye" on the sides (again, I'm not using official descriptions here LOL).

Just FYI, I edited out the link to the blog, and put a photo in the first post, and moved it to Fur Pics since it's a kitty pic

Utu's mom (link to pic here) and one of Kuura's "brides" are a black silver classic tabbies. It's really striking if the contrast is good. (Kuura doesn't carry the classic pattern gene so the kittens were spotted and shaded silvers).
Here's a picture of her when she was visiting us

(and a link to a larger pic where she's with the kittens, the color shows better here but the pic is very large: click)

He is very long and lean, and I've never considered a cat show. I don't know the first thing about it, but would be interested!

YES! very much so! Why do you ask? What does this indicate about him?

I know the talkative is characteristic of Siamese. I don't know about other orientals though - Carolina, Northern Glow or others will have to chime in!

Northern Glow - thanks for that beautiful pic!

Orientals have their breed foundation on Siamese, which are very energetic, talkative, an full of smarts!
Here is a breed profile on them: http://www.cfa.org/client/breedOriental.aspx
And here is a picture of a purebred Oriental that looks a lot like yours!: http://www.catchannel.com/breeds/pro...cat-breed.aspx

Oh my gosh! That is definitely the missing link! That cat looks so much like curtis! The personality described is also a match! Thanks so much, I've been wondering about that for such a long time.
