We had a blast! We left Ocean City around 2:30 and got to DC, got checked into our hotel, and got parked at around 6:30. That gave us the perfect amount of time to go to The White House, Washington Monument, WWII Memorial, Lincoln Monument, Korean War Memorial, and Vietnam War Memorial and get a couple of street vendor hotdogs for dinner! LOL! The next day we ate some breakfast, went to the white house again to get our picture taken in front of it and then to the American History Museum which was a lot of fun! And then we went by the back of the white house and headed home! My only complaint was they have the reflecting pool torn up right now! That made me sad! But oh well, just means we have to go back!
We are actually thinking about going back after the 4th of July when Gary has a few days off and going to the other museums because I really wanted to go to more, but we had to pick 1!
Also we stayed at a hotel chain called Club Quarters and it was very very nice! I would highly recommend them for couples or anyone without a family! I only say that because the hotels are mostly for business travelers. They dont have all the extras, like no pool, no activities, no cont. breakfast, and the rooms only have a single bed and are a bit smaller. But it was the best sleep I have ever had in a hotel! The bed was amazing and it was so quiet! And they had complimentary purified water on every floor which was amazing for all the walking we did! The best part: It was 2 blocks from the white house and was $100 a night! Woohoo!
Anyways, on to the good stuff!
I really didnt take many pics at the beach this year. I didnt take a point and shoot besides my phone, and didnt want to lug the dslr around!

Thanks for sharing the pics. I was there years ago and loved it especially the Smithsonian. Also had gone to the JFK Center which was absolutely breathtaking.

It's interesting what they select to be in a museum. What is the significance of that car in the last picture that it warrants being in a museum?

The last car is "Stanley" and it was designed for and won the DARPA grand challenge which involved a robotic car capable of navigating itself through 175 miles of desert terrain in under 10 hours.
