After shopping yesterday we decided to go out for dinner. When we returned, we found a 10LB bag of cat food torn open and half eaten. We forgot to stash the bag after shopping, and our two German Shepherds had a go at it.

This is after the two dogs and the three cats had eaten. When we returned, both dogs had a FULL belly, and we were worried. They didn't get sick but are poofing and pooping a lot.

What?!? They only ate half of a 10-pound bag? Amateurs!
My Moose (a Rottweiler) ate an entire 20-pound bag when he was 6 months old (before I had him). His owner called the vet and he told him to not feed him for 3 days to give him time to digest everything. . .he wasn't happy about that!

Hope they feel better soon!

I'm glad those guys didn't get sick!

Reminds me of the time Bootser got into my butter. I had had a stick of butter sitting in the microwave to come to room temperature for making cookie dough. (We always bring things to room temp in the microwave because the cats -- well, Bootser -- will eat whatever is left on the counters.) DH took the butter out of the microwave so that he could use the oven. And forgot to put the butter back in when he was finished.

Bootser ate the entire stick of butter....as well as most of the wrapper. I called the vet right away, but he said just to keep a close eye on her. If she did NOT poop, I was to bring her into the office. But she did, quite a bit actually. And thank goodness it was all in the litterbox. No accidents in the house. She was fine.

Glad to hear she was OK.
