Morning everyone!

Today Dana and I are celebrating our 3rd anniversary together.
Well...not really "celebrating" as he is now very sick after catching whatever it was that I had, poor guy. We're both working from home today, so it'll be pretty low key.

It's a miserable day out, rainy, windy and cold, so this evening we'll probably just curl up and watch a movie.

Morning Friends!

Congrats, Kailie! Hope Dana feels better soon.

Gosh, I'm pooped. It's pretty bad when I have to come into work to rest up after a weekend. We worked outside pretty much the entire past two days. Weeding, mowing, clipping, working in the garden, all that good stuff. I had housework and laundry, too.

DH spent part of Saturday at a public sale of his cousin's estate. He was able to get a lot of old tools which we can certainly use. He came home with some nice shovels, edgers, 3 cultivators, hoes, and some kind of old rototiller that you push. (Those cultivators really came in handy while we were working in the garden yesterday afternoon. I was thankful for them.) Didn't cost us anything, since he was a relative, so that was nice. His really neat (to me) find? An old Betty Crocker Cooky Book. Mine was shot; the cover fell apart years ago and pages are missing. I've been wanting to get a new one, but haven't gotten around to it yet. He saw that one and asked if he could have it for me. Yay!
He also found an original Betty Crocker Picture Book from decades ago. I have a reprint version, so he brought the original home for me. Everybody knows that I collect cookbooks, so one of the relatives just gave him a box of cookbooks for me to peruse. They are in fantastic condition, too!

Have a great Monday! Don't work too hard!

Morning... I'm feeling much better today than I expected after an all day party yesterday at my mom's house. It was good to see family and friends who I haven't seen in a long time, nice that they still want to make the effort to come and see me when I'm in town. Of course there was lots of food and beverages too... I'm sure that's always a good lure.
Fun day anyway. Today I am kind of going through some old stuff in the attic, seeing if there's stuff I want to ship home to CA. I have so much crap here still. I'm surprised my mom hasn't just thrown it all out. Then again, she doesn't throw out her own junk, so why would she get rid of mine?

Later on for happy hour I'm meeting some people I used to work with at a brewpub downtown, that should be cool. I'm planning to walk down, I wish the weather was a bit warmer though! I brought only 1 pair opf jeans, the rest skirts and a pair of shorts! Last week the forecast was still going to be in the 80s all week here in PA! Oh well. I suppose it's a bit better than 97 degrees with 80% humidity or whatever it was a week ago.

Anyway, have a good day everyone! Hope Dana feels better, Kailie. And enjoy those cookbooks, Pam!

Kailie, OH no, poor Dana. I hate that when Larry and I pass our colds back and forth. I hope Dana recovers soon

Erica - sounds like a great plan for a Monday, HAPPY HOUR

Today is absolutely gorgeous day!!
. Sunny, breezy, and in the sixties. Could take this all summer long. Went out to check out an all cat boarding place, just to see it. I do have an in-home petsitter, but wanted to check out this well known place. I did love it, and the owner was wonderful and knowledgeable. BUT......... Oh the smell of cat urine upstairs where they have the super large cages. They have indoor/outdoor carpeting everywhere (in the cages and out) up there and I think that is a big mistake
. They let the cats out at different times of the day for playtime and roaming. Very nice set-up but I don't think my cats would enjoy other cats coming right up to the cages when it is their turn for playtime. Also, there was no solid walls between enclosures and the cats could sniff eachother through the wire. Not sure if that is a good idea. But all enclosures had a TV with birds and mice programs running. Very cute and peaceful place though. I don't think I could put my babies there with that pee smell, and then what if they start peeing, that would be terrible. So, I decided to have my petsitter come three times a day to my house instead of two. My cats are used to me being home and get three wet meals a day and I don't want that to change. I have a family reunion end of July and will be gone for five days and I want them to have the same routine as close as possible. When I called the petsitting service owner, she said that this was a first, three visits a day for cats
Oh well, nothing but the best will do for my furbabies.
