My Cat Drawings

I decided to share with you guys some more of my cat drawings. These are my latest ones

That one was done with charcoal. I usually use graphite but I decided to try it all with charcoal to see how it goes

And that one was done all in graphite. I've gotten better at drawing fur, it seems!

What do y'all think?

Verry nice!

Wow! They look like photographs! You're extremely talented!!! I am hoping that you are going to college for something art related!

Thanks guys!

I got accepted into a visual arts program, but I'm debating going because there's not a lot of money in that career path unfortunately

If you are looking for your earlier thread, I noticed that they moved it to the market place forum. You have some replies in it

Thank you Natalie

But I can't post there because I'm not a Young Cat yet, at least I think that's the reason...so I just decided to share my photos on here and hope they don't move it :P

Your drawings are fantastic! You are so, so, so talented!

I meant to comment on the other thread, but I lost it.

Seriously, these are drawings and not pictures?? Wow!! I am impressed!! You better stick around until at least Christmas time because I may be buying a commissioned piece from you, if you do that....
Absolutely amazing!!!

The first picture looks just like my feral, Little Scoop!

I think it got moved because it turned into a sales thread with requests about prices etc.

@Tara & rob, you have a very cute little kitty then (sorry I didn't see your post earlier!)
I'm sorry, but I don't believe they are drawings.
Unless you have WIPs?

There was a thread in the market place showing more of her drawings along with a website link showing even more. I'd suggest you go there and look, but the thread shows as having been moved, but it doesn't go anywhere when you click on it.

The only place for members to sell their products or services is the Marketplace, and it is meant for established (or paying) members only

I meant that she couldn't have a salesy type thread because she's not an established or paying member, therefore it was removed as per the rules Only when a member has achieved Young Cat status, or if they're a paying member, they are allowed to have a thread advertising their work/business in Marketplace.

Sorry everyone! I've been away for the weekend, camping.

@Minka i'm going to take that as a compliment They are actually drawings, it's the scanner I used for it--it's awesome! It showed pretty much every detail.

@Tara & Rob My my, you have a BEAUTIFUL cat She looks quite cozy too

@Feralvr I would love to see some pics of your cats and dog too Jack Russell's are actually one of my favourite small breeds of dogs. What breeds are your cats, if you don't mind me asking?
What nice drawings you got. ^^
Do you have half way done scans of those?

They look like B&W pictures.

Thanks Konstargirl

And no Ducman, I only scan my pictures when they're done, otherwise I have to take a picture of them and I prefer using a scanner, which I don't have at home
post #26 of 59
That's awesome! They look just like a photo! Best of luck with your dream. I say go for it if that's what you love doing. Would love to see more. Keep them coming!

I would just caution folks about ordering merchandise from unknown persons on the internet. I'm not saying this person is a scammer but one of our members did order a product very much like this one a while back and never received the product nor did they get their money back.

Just be aware and know who you are giving money to.

My dog, Wilbur, is my once-in-a-lifetime dog And I have wanted to get a drawing of him done. Or a HUGE tattoo of him on my back. I love him so deeply. I will try to post a picture of him so you can see. He is almost thirteen, but still looks like an adorable puppy. His health is failing him, and it makes me so very sad. Just very sad .

My cats are all rescues/strays DSH. Pipsqueak would love a drawing too. He is a siamese mix, with the crossed/wiggling eyes

Those are beautiful. How did you create the shadow image? Those are charcoal and graphite on top of image?
