Does anyone use cat wipes?

I just ordered a container of cat wipes yesterday. IMHO, they were kind of expensive. I think they were $8.00 for 30? I get much better deals on baby wipes (to take off my make-up when I'm lazy, not to use on my cats). Does anyone else use cat wipes? The ones I ordered got excellent reviews from other customers, but I still worry about safety. I am really picky about the cats. Advice, please.

I use Earthbath Cat Wipes on emergencies only, when the kitties look dirtier than usual.

No harmful effects

What are these things for?

My sister uses them to clean her cats bottom. (She is overweight and can't reach).

I use them on the cats when their coats get a bit dirty. They love it and they don't harm them.

Perfect for dirty paws and bottoms.

I recently purchased some to help with foster kittens if I need to help clean them off, if they get dirty bums, etc. Also sometimes the pregnant fosters need help cleaning themselves where they get so big. I have yet to try them out though.

I watch slickdeals.net for deals on baby wipes and buy in bulk. If not opened, they last forever.

I don't see the point in buying specific "cat wipes". Even the aloe ones, we're talking tiny trace amounts, and if its safe enough for a baby that puts everything in their mouth to ingest, I'm sure its fine for our kitties that lick poop off their butts.

Thank you for your responses. You've all been a big help. My cats are a bit large, and have some trouble with grooming their (low?) backs.

The only thing I worry about is that some things that are safe for babies (like chocolate ice cream) aren't safe for cats. I haven't seen any chocolate scented baby wipes, but it would concern me on so many levels. I don't even really trust the wipes especially made for cats, but I feel better that they will be safe.

I just bought Hart groomer's best anti dander wipes for cats. it says it lick safe, so i used those to clean the little bit of poo on her bum.

I am a little nervous because it smells really good, but when she laid down next to me, her butt just smelled so bad I used those cat wipes to clean her up a bit.

If anyone else has used these, please let me know :) thank you

I think those are the kind I buy too. Walmart, $2.00?  Yes, they do smell good. I was worried about that too, so I run them under hot water first, then ring it out. This way it doesn't have as much in it, but still works & is nice & warm when you use it on them. I bought them for when my kitty comes in after rolling in the sand or dirt! hobbes.gif
