I really should go and get therapy for this obssession for shoes. I just can't help it! When my best friend and I go shopping she will have to drag me out of the shoe stores

I haven't mention these to Bill, yet. Not that he will mind - its my money and I do pay my share of the household expenses. He'll just shake his head and say, "Aw, baby - whatever makes you happy."

He really doesn't understand the shoe thing. In my case, its genetic. Granny was 5 ft 1/4 in tall and wore the highest heels that she could find. Mom has stacks of shoe boxes in her closet and I have a closet, just for shoes. Wait until the grandbabies get bigger - I'll have them in bead, sequin and rhinestone trimmed shoes! Just as my grandfather did for me, I'm going to buy them their first pairs of cowboy boots, too!

Cathi, I'm the same way, I literally have to tear myself out of the shoe stores. It's bad, bad, bad.

Cindy, you got a hell of a deal! 2 pairs for the price of one! and they were already marked down from the orginal price! that is good bargain shopping! but saying that, I will tell you that I haven't mentioned to my S/O that I just ordered more. I incorporate them into the closet and act surprised when he asks me if they are new. He just doesn't understand that I NEED more shoes.

Here's a little taste of my collection. The camera isn't the best but they are purple velvet and the heels are 3 3/4 inches.

I don't think I'll ever understand why so many women love shoes. I have three pairs, a pair of sneakers, a pair of dress shoes, and my cleats.

Bill would never presume to tell me what or not to wear. Actually, my ex bought those for me.

Bill is a tiny bit shorter than me but, fortunately, he has no hangups about it and is quite proud to escort me - towering heels and all.

Ok, not Steve Maddens, but my new Aerosoles that I bought today.

New!

Laura,

I can relate. I looked for any excuse to wear my trusty Reeboks 24/7. I am in a career place now that I have to dress up, so shoes are part of the ensemble. Comfort is the #1 issue with me.

My workplace is so casual, I look for an excuse to dress up, once in a while. Most of the time, I'm in jeans or khakis, with black leather athletic shoes. Showing up in a dress and heels shakes everybody up!

LMAO! Hey Colby....I am building a catalog for a customer this morning and I needed to do a "warm up graphic " before I started... couldn't resist!

Hey Deb - I would love to walk into my "anti-high heel" podiatrist's office wearing a pair of those! His reaction would be priceless...ROTFL!!

I went surfing for purple sneakers yesterday. (My last pair wore out, several years ago.) The only ones that I could find in purple were Converse All-Stars. Oh well, the hunt continues. My current white ones, with purple racing stripes and laces will have to suffice.
