Easy one today.

How do you pet your kitties? Do they like rough petting or just soft and gentle?

Rusty likes gentle petting. Scritches and such. Dusty on the other hand likes it rough sometimes. Ruffle the fur up and she is purring away. She also likes "base fiddling" where I scratch the base of her tail and her butt goes up.

My kitties seem to like both! I'm the gentle one and Dana is more rough. I tend to tell him to take it easy but the kitties always come back for more.

I am quite gentle when I pet my kitties. Perkins hates to be pet, but he is getting much better because I am slow and gentle. Pipsqueak loves to be pet so rough or gentle he doesn't care.. Larry is more rough and gets them fired up and they dart off, but they come right back

cammie likes a little of both mostly gentle but you wanna put her in heaven a good scratch on the butt. Yoda like gentle but most the time he is frisky and playful

Neko loves ... NOOGIES!! I make a fist and rub his head like I'm giving him a noogie and he absolutely loves it.

Nero is more of a normal petting kind of cat. Hoshi likes semi-rough pets, and strong combings.

I have always thought one should use some preassure when petting a kitten or even a cat. I usually like to pet mine when the yare sitting or laying doen. I generally do not pet with pressure when they are standing since there is not a lot of support for their back.

Another noogie kitty! That's our Fawn. She can't get enough, and Daddy definitely has the technique! Other than that, she'll lean into anything, so I guess her preference is for rough petting. Cindy is a mush bucket.

Both for Lynxx and Midnight. Very gentle for Luna because she was abused by her first owners.
